I'm such a bad mom!!!

I am such a bad momma...

I was looking on the facebook and reading statues updates when my son tripped over the monitor cord and a few things fell off the table. Well, I didn't realize that the Germ-X bottle had fallen off too. (It shouldn't have been there in the first place) While I'm reading I saw LO in the cornor of my eye and glanced up and noticed he had the Germ-X bottle in his hand and had the pump in his mouth.

I really don't think he got more than just a taste, but it scared me so bad.

I called Poison Control....and they told me that even if he had gotten a mouthful, it wouldn't do nothing more than give him an upset tummy and might make him vomit. They said to make sure he stays awake for another hour or so to make sure it digest through, because if he were to get sick to his stomach, I wouldn't want him to do it in his sleep.

I'm really glad that nothing major can happen and that I don't have to rush him to the hospital.

I feel like such a bad mommy! I should have been paying more attention to him than playing on damned facebook!

one day I was doing stuff in my room and I looked over to see my son with a bottle of $ store hand sanitizer in his mouth.

I freaked out and grabbed it from him and made him drink water...called poison control...they werent particulary concerned and Sean ended up being just fine!!! And it made me be more careful about making sure hand sanatizer (and anything else that could hurt him) was put away safely.

My little cousin drank hand sanitizer and the poison control people said the worst that would happen is that she would get a little drunk and maybe vomit...

He will just get diarrhea..My daughter licked wet scented soap and had creamy film on her tongue. I felt awful while i was peeing.ughh she just had diarrhea for 1 day thats it. I gave her milk or you can do pedialyte..sorry girl

Your not a bad mommy at all hun!! We all get distracted from time to time. I let Emma play in the tub while I'm putting away laundry only like eight feet from her but I turned my head and when I looked back over she had grabbed the bar of soap and was eating it. No one is perfect and he's okay so that is all that matters.

I popped into the kitchen for literally 1 minute to put the water into the washing up bowl the other day and in that time there was an almighty crash - i went running into the living room and H had pulled the folded up highchair standing in the corner onto herself!

We cant watch them every second of everyday - we just do our best honey.
