impatient! can i ask?

my doc isnt doing an ultrasound til 22 weeks to find out the sex of baby and i am soo impatient!! i wanna know and start buying things! (i have all the green and yellow i can find) do you think if i ask for a scan earlier theyll do it? is it ok to ask? had a scan at 8 weeks and dont really want to wait til jan 26 to see bubs again! even if i cant see the sex id like a scan before!

i dont think so and besides, the futher along u r the more accurate the gender guess will be

Doctors/midwife only see scans as medical procedures and not luxuries like we do lol So if you asked they are likely to say no...Only way you could do it if you really can't wait is to pay to have a private one done

doctors wont usualy book earlier scans unless there are medical needs as there are so many people needing scans, they also dont advise them so id guess it be pritty hard to get one unless you go private. x x

our dr's will NOT do a scan before 20 weeks PERIOD. Unless there is an emergency medical thing, and then they wont waste time looking for gender..

my 20 week scan wouldn't be till after christmas and that was just way too hard to wait and I wasn't buying the clothes in yellow unless I had to!

I went and had a private scan done Saturday and luckily the baby was more than willing to flash us . they also gave me a 14 minute video of the baby so I can watch the scan at home to be sure. early on it can be tricky and in the past I have been told one gender and then when I get home and watch the video I can see it is the other and the technician was not right!!!
