Implantation bleeding or early af?

We BD on CD 8 (which i thought was way too early). I am now on about CD 23 & for the past 3 days have had light spotting when i wipe (sorry TMI!!). It started off watery light pink but is now dark brown. I also have had tender breasts at the side for the last 5 days, but otherwise feel normal. Any thoughts on what this could be? it is probably early period unless i ovulated very early.!!

Do you know what day you normally ovulate on?
It could be early af. But it could also be implantation bleeding.
I'd wait for a few days and see what happens. If it's implantation then the spotting will stop. If it's AF it will get heavier.
Do you normally spot at the start of your AF?

Still spotting today so it is the 5th day. Thought it was proper af starting today so used a tampon but not really a lot there & still very dark brown. I don't really know when I ovulate. I am in the process of some fertility tests but not had the results yet. I never used to spot before af but since I had a hsg done it seems to have gone haywire!!
