implantation bleeding?

Hello ladies. Yesterday morning i took a test and it turned out to be negative, yesterday night I started spotting a little brown discharge and figured "hey its my period...sad face" however today when I woke up there has been nothing. My period due date is anywhere from yesterday to tues and I'm not sure what to think of this. I'm also kind of cramping slightly like I should have gotten a full period today....but there is nothing.

Could this be implantation bleeding?

Any idea how long your luteal phase typically is?
