I really need you guys support right now.

For the last 4 days I've had what I've presumed was trapped wind and severe digestion pain.

About 8pm it's become unbearable. I've got naked, laid, stood, sat, rolled about and the pain intensifies. My back is now so severely sore that laying down seems to make it worse.

This is some of the worst long-term pain I've exprienced. To top it off I have heartburn.

I could only stand to wait for the water to heat up for a 1/2 hour so had a portion of bath but it got cold too quickly this has worked the best so far.

I've taken paracetamol and the only 'remedy' I could find anywhere was 'gingeroot' which I didn't have so mixed boiling water with ground ginger.

Second bath will hopefully be ready at 12.45, though halfway through writing this I ran into the bathroom and was repeatedly sick, proceeding to shower. The pain has lessend but only slightly...

I'm starting to wonder if I should go to the hospital if this continues...

I don't know what to do...does it sound like food poisoning to you? I'm thinking maybe there's something dodgy at the core of this, despite having most of these symptoms for a few days.

Baby is kicking...so I know it's ok...but just seriously I am not right and don't know what to do.

My friend is in alot of pain as well right now in her hip and back/butt area. Turns out her LO is on a nerve! I wonder if that could be possible with you too hun. I hope you start to feel better soon x

Go and get checked if you don't feel right, stay away from google too xxx

Oh dear - I don't know exactly what's the matter, but if it's so painful that you're vomiting, I think you might want to get seen. You poor thing! :hugs: Do you have anyone to drive you to the hospital?

Owww that had to hurt!!
Yeah it lasted 2 hours of excruciating agony I mean it drained all life from me and sent shooting pains down my leg and up my back, trapped nerves are seriously sore but mine was harmless enough in the end.

xxxx

I'm sure glad your feeling better! Yes all pain/problems during pregnancy are worth it in the end!

yes I would say a nerve as well..but I must admit that i get trapped wind if I have to much double cream...mmmmm..or dairy as I am lactose intolerant as well as have an allergic reaction to dairy!! the only think that helps for me is eating mustard and pepto..but doctor told me not to have too much pepto. For hearburn zantac does the trick for me!!!

I have digestive issues shall we say and have the sever trapped wind exactly like you mention it every few days since about 6 weeks... its painful for sure and unfortunately i don't have any rememdies apart from taking lots and lots of fibre too make sure you poo more. It makes me feel very very sick almost to the point of vomiting but have not done that yet. Its a tough one. Hope it goes away soon.

Hi Hun sorry to hear you are feeling so bad. My mum gets similar and she isn't even pregnant. She has attacks and ends ip in the same way with the pains in her back etc awake all night when it ends up like this her perscription meds (which she has plenty of for different digestion problems) don't even touch it.

If you feel in so much pain that you can't cope get checked out. But agree with the lady that said stay away from google lol.

For trapped wind try tonic water. It tastes yucky but can really help it has you burping like a trooper in no time x x x

peppermint tea helps me with indigestion and those rennie tablets. I also get bad bad backache this pregnancy and hot water bottle gives me some comfort x

So sorry, EmyDra, that sounds terrible. I had a very similiar episode in my last pregnancy, excruciating pain that I described as though someone was running me through my diaphragm with a hot blade and nausea. I could not get comfortable and NOTHING eased the pain. I went into Emergency and it turned out baby was pushing against my gall bladder and irritating. I had an us and there were no stones, just sludge. They kept me in overnight, gave me Buscopan (muscle relaxer) and IV antibiotics. I felt a million times better. I think after that I started taking Nexium, but I can't remember if that was while I was still pg or not.

Anyway, best advice seems to be - go to the Doctor and get it sorted !:flower:

I really hope this is starting to ease for you. I would agree with the ladies that have recommended getting checked out. It may be a bug, it may be bean resting where it shouldn't but always best to be safe. I've started with similar pains the last two days and I'm just grateful I have a fairly high pain thresh hold or I know I'd be crying most evenings.

Hello hun, Yes i have had this 4 times now. The first time i was admitted to hospital as i collapsed and fainted due to the pain being so severe. i have had it 3 times since and have found it is really bad heartburn. I have to eat little and often and not eat dairy products too much as this causes it all to start for me. The pain is awful and i cannot get comfortable. I hope this helps and good luck hun. XXX

I've had similar a few times.. after beig checked out I'm told it is acid reflux, the 'trapped wind' pain getting worse when you lay dow is a classic symptom of it according to my midwife! I would deffo go and get checked out, coz you ever know what could be causing it! Seems we've all had similar pain for all kinds of different reasons. Hope you feel better soon x

Hope you're feeling a bit better now hun :hugs:

hope you're feeling better, i've had a similar thing 5 times now, starting when i was 18 weeks. I had the most severe pain in my stomach and back, vomiting, hot, it was awful and i seriously would rather be in labour than go through that again. I was hospitalised the first time for a week, no cause found and have managed it at home since. My doctor suggested indegestion which still seems ridiculous to me but i take gaviscon regularly, eat small meals and avoid rich/spicy food and, fingers crossed, it has been better the last few weeks.

oooh that sounds awful. if i were you i'd speak to ur doctor just to get checked out. also if u have digestive problems the docs can give you something to help. i suffer with my bowels and my doc has told me if it gets bad then to let him know and he'll give me something to help. luckily it hasnt been too bad. x

sounds to me like it could be gall stones.i used to suffer unreal pain for years with it and eventually had to have them out. i know my mum developed them when pregnant with my sister and had to have them out after.. i used to find a hot water bottle placed on back helped with the pain and avoid all kinds of creamy/rich food just had to stick to bland food but its worth it not to be sick.. BUT i'm not a doctor and as with all the other girls go to the doc and get them to sort it babes.. hope you're feeling better :) :) xx
