In need of reassurance...when will a routine fall into place?

I know this is a bit of a pointless thread, since each baby is different and I did start a thread in the past called 'when will it get easier' But my LO is 6 weeks old and there isn't any improvement with her routine.

She is breastfed exclusively and feeds usually every 2 hours during the day (which really gives me 1h 30 mins break max in between if I am lucky).
In the evenings, it's cluster feeding time big time. From about 5-6 she starts getting ravenous and only stops for 30 mins max in between feeds until 11, 12 o'clock!

There is no way I can put her down at 8 for sleep, I have tried putting her in the dark room but she just wants her food, so it's pointless really.

When can I expect this to change? I need some light at the end of the tunnel, I am so exhausted

Aww hun, LO is only young, it won't last forever so stick in there. How often does she feed overnight?

The only thing I can suggest is trying to encourage the cluster feeding starting earlier, say 4pm and then start going to be with her at 10pm or so? xx

Jacob started settling down from about 8 weeks. Around 6 weeks, they tend to go through a growth spurt & it seems like you are constantly feeding, it doesn't last forever though!

6 weeks? My LO is 6 months next week and apart from a fixed bedtime doesn't have any feeding or sleeping routine. I still feed her every 1.5 - 2 hrs during the day. Sorry, that's probably not very helpful :(

Although my LO is now forumla fed he started to get tired between 7-9pm when he was about 10 weeks old and since then has gone down for the night between tose times and is up half 7-8am.

I have never implemented a routine other than a bath at 7:30pm every 2nd day so all this is his doing! Before this he would go down anywhere between 10-pm and 12am and was awake from 5am, knackering

well done on still BFing tho, i only lasted 2 weeks!

Thank you for replies! Nights are not too bad, once the cluster feeding is over at 23-24, she then wakes up at 3 or 4 and then she is up at 7 or 8 so not too bad. I just want a part of the evening back...
