I am kinda scared. I am peeing myself a little when I cough and peeing myself a lot when I orgasm, even if I just went pee. This really bothers me because I used to do kegels for years before I got pregnant, and up to. If I was doing 20 kegels, holding them for 10 seconds with a 5 second rest in between, everyday for years, then why am I having trouble this early on, and what's going to happen to me as I get bigger? I'm almost 18 weeks, and this started a week ago. Will I be in a diaper by the end? Does that even happen to anyone? Thank God this has only happened at home!

I worry too, I am not peeing myself when I caugh etc. but I do have more frequent urination when I am up and about walking rather than when laying on my side. So maybe I just need to take it easy and rest more stay off my feet...Did u talk to your Dr. about your concerns?

:hugs: I am sorry you are going through this. I haven't experienced this yet, so I don't have any advice. But it is probably a good idea to mention it to your doctor to be sure you don't have an infection/maybe the doctor will have some ideas to strengthen your muscles.

I went to class last night and the minute I got on the bus and sat down I had to urinate so bad I thought for sure I would pee my pants. I almost did a little bit, by the time the bus got to school 45 minutes later I had to run to the bathroom, and peed just a little bit. I think I am going to buy panty liners for the times where it just leaks.

I also do kegals, but it might just be where the baby is at the time, maybe they are pressing there and we dont feel it, or happen to push it when its very full. I am dreading my 18 week scan as I have to show up with a full bladder and am almost destined to urinate myself.

I rung my midwife today thinking I was leaking fluid, she told me to put a pad on and keep an eye, if I leaked anymore to call back... If not it was probz just pee... I haven't leaked since :blush:

i too am expieriencing stress incontinece im doing pelvis floor exercises but its not helping!! im not resorting to wearing pads because im leaking :( xx

I feel like I leak a little bit too! Especially when I'm sick, there's definitely abit coming out :(

Thanks everyone! It is really reassuring to know I'm not alone!
I don't know about you guys, but it seems every complaint I have gets shrugged off by the doctors as normal and expected, and just a rite of passage.

I never had this the first time around, but I am seriously suffering this time. I pee myself all the time! :(

Haha we must see the same doctor because I get the same thing. Like nothing is ever explained to me, she forgets to give me things like referrals for my U/S. Everything I ask of her that isnt related to my vagina she says "your primary care doctor should handle that"...really because I thought a dermatologist would be better to handle my eczema that I have had since 2004, and at the time covered 80% of my skin and is working its way to covering my full arms and legs. Why couldnt she just write me a referral? Now, I figured an OB would know what medications would be safe to use on my skin since I own about 15 different kinds, but no I've had to suffer since 8 weeks. Just give me some dam cream thats ok, it can't be unheard of?!

My primary care doctor is even worse BTW. She had a baby and instead of trying to help me with my constant bleeding skin she said she'd look up the meds (i could've googled them myself and taken a guess) and let me know what is safe and never called me back. I am beginning to think in Portland doctors are less educated than the doctors I've been to in NYC. Maybe I am just used to medical specialists and top medical personnel. Even the billing people here are like unbelievably incompetent.

HAHA wow you posted that she ignores you, and I just went off....LOL I'm sorry hormones and frustration I guess. I just think they should explain things to you, especially since its my first child and you know I am not sure what a w.e. test they are sending me for even is. Can I have a heads up or something? Or even ok its normal to have back pain, but can I at least know why I can't sit for more than an hour at a time? It's frustrating

This is my second and even just at nearly 14 weeks, my pelvic floor feels shot to pieces. I wonder if it's to do with all your muscles and ligaments loosening, whatever it is, it's pretty rubbish. I just wear a panty liner every day now :lol:

The joys of pregnancy.. I never thought this would happen to me either but it totally is. I thought inwas leaking fluid because i wasnt even noticing anything happening until inwent to the washroom and oh joy.... Found i had leaked a bit. If your pelvic floor muscles are strong, it's probably just the way baby is sitting. I would get checked for an infection though just in case. Hang in there, lots of girls like us go through it and it should stop once baby arrives!

I live in Medford. I haven't the slightest idea what that test is. My primary doctor at least tells me she doesn't know anything specific, that she's just for general information and refferals. She says that's why specialists get paid the big money. I have only met my midwife once, and will meet my OB for the first time Friday. When I went to the ER yesterday for an asthma attack, they told me to follow up with my OB and ask about a nebulizer, not my primary. I was already expecting her to tell me she's just an OB. I'm kinda mad at my primary because I told her about my severe rhinitis and that was one of the things she just kinda shrugged off, and told me to keep using the Nasalcrom that wasn't helping. Now today, I read in another thread that they make a specific medication, Promethazine, for it, that is also an anti-nausea pill. WTF wouldn't she give it to me so I could sleep through the night and NOT blow my nose raw and red and NOT keep pulling muscles in my abdomen doing it? I mean, seriously!
:hissy::grr:
My back hurts a lot too when I sit at school. I just attributed it to my two car accidents three months ago. My butt really hurts sitting in the chairs, too. And they're the same chairs I've sat in for a year.

i am choked with the cold at the moment and have no control at all when i sneeze or cough! Im glad its just a small bit wee that comes out lol cos i sneezed in the shop about an hour ago and felt a bit wee come out!!! I cannot help it! Im fine when not pregnant and im on baby number 3 so it must just be a pregnancy thing, i think my little monkey times it perfect to jump on my bladder at the same second i sneeze or cough lol! Its not funny tho and i too am thinking about using panty liners, especially for going out somewhere just incase i leak bad. You think, yeah im pregant, no more periods! then you pee yourself when you cough or sneeze lol !! unfair x
