This may seems like a stupid question, but it got me thinking!
I have stumbled across an article today that says taking folic acid increases chances of conceiving twins.
But do I need to increase the folic acid dosage to increase the chances of conceiving twins?

Will taking soy iso increase chances of conceiving twins?

I thought conceiving twins was down to genetics or chance!

I think this was from a Swedish study, but there have been two seperate pieces of research carried out in the UK that suggests that taking folic acid doesn't increase your chances of having twins.

This study says folic acid slightly increases your chance but your better off taking metafolin folate as its body ready.(not everyone absorbs folic acid the same). https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15467542

Soy isoflavones works for some women similar to clomid so it may increase the chance for multiples. there is a TTC twins forum Here where I recently read of a women who took soy isoflavones and conceived twins.

i think what will be will be i got pregnant taking folic acid last time and there was only 1 x

Yup I was taking folic acid for almost a year before getting my BFP and only one!

thanks for your responces ladies
