I think I had indigestion last night but not sure as I've never had it before :s

I woke up about 12ish because I felt so I'll. I felt really sick and my throat felt all acidy :s I couldn't get back to sleep until 3am because I felt worse when I was lying down..

Is this indigestion or something else?? Anyone had this or know what I can do to get rid of it next time?? :flower:

Acidy throat, yep that sounds like heartburn. You can take Gaviscon or I think Rennies for it. If you prefer natural remedies you can try drinking milk, that might help.

Anyone else know how to get rid of it?? I tried gaviscon and hated it

It's awful stuff, the best tasting thing I found was chewable rennies, they weren't great but still ok. They were a bit like mint flavoured Chewits!

remegel are bareable :)
the just taste like slightly chalky soft mints

Sounds like heartburn...I have suffered with it almost all day every day from about 28 weeks onwards.

At the moment Gaviscon dual action tablets (mint flavour) are the only things that work!

Oh yessss- you have experienced the dreaded heartburn :nope: Its the one nasty thing i have had nearly all the way through this pregnancy:dohh:
I have actually found tescos own fruit flavoured antacids fab- and have a pack of the strawberry gaviscon which are ok- but leave a funny after taste i find......
 I hope one of these gives the relief you need!! xx

peppermint tea. . .not the best taste in the world but i found it does get rid of it well x

Okay, this tastes EVIL but if the heartburn is bad enough you will thank me :)

Take a half teaspoon of bicarb soda (baking soda) and dissolve in half a glass of water. Drink, the quicker it goes down the less you will taste, and you will burp a minute or two later. It takes the heartburn away and keeps it away for a few hours, unlike rennies / tums. My dr. said it is safe for use in pregnancy (I used it before so I had to make sure with him beforehand that it's okay for use now).

Take Note: Do NOT use if you are on a low sodium diet as bicarb contains sodium.

I hope you sort it out, it's no fun trying to sleep upright because of heartburn!

I have literally just been sick with heartburn.I fell asleep shortly after id eaten and i woke up feeling really sick.I use rennies, tescos or superdrug own version.I found gaviscon unbearable yuk yuk yuk! also propping yourslf up at night helps it prevents the acid from coming back up.Your lucky in a way youve had it so late as mine basically stopped overnight once id had my first baby x

I take rennies for heartburn, I also can't stand gaviscon or any liquid. They're pretty gentle but more effective than milk when it's very sore.

Eating smaller (and more frequent) meals can help, along with not lying down for a couple hours after eating. For me, it seems like if I eat higher-fat foods (like ice cream) before bedtime, it's worse. Hope you feel better soon!
