Hi all, I'm after some advice & Gaviscon.
My DS has been diagnosed with a cow's milk protein allergy & has been prescribed nutramigen LGG 1. He is also suffering with reflux, so we've been advised to give gaviscon as well. We tried to put it in his formula & it thickened too much that it didn't come out of the teats very well, so we're having to prepare it in water (5ml + gavison & mix into a paste, + 10ml water). Is there an easy way to do this? It says I have to use cooled boiled water & have to be prepared immediately before giving it to him..
The plan atm is to pour some boiled water into a flask, let it cool for 30 mins or so, then syringe the water out into the bottle to make the paste etc. But it seems so long winded! Am I overthinking this?
And also, do I need to sterilise the syringe every time I use it? Going out and about is going to be an absolute nightmare. He's so unsettled after a feed anyway that I just dont want to leave the house without my husband
