We are moving into a house next month, got a house viewing on Monday for the most beautiful 2 bedroom house and I am sooooooo excited, it even has a free standing Victorian bath (these little details are very important to me ). So because I always knew that I was going to be moving so soon I never really bothered making a huge effort with Ivy's room. I want to make it reaally nice in the new house but have never decorated for a baby before so have no idea what kind of things to buy! Sooo I'm feeling nosey and would love for you guys to post photos of your LO's nursery so I can copy your ideas :haha:

This is Ari's room when we first done it. We wanted it a little basic so that we could add/take away from it the older she gets. I know it's a bit PINK which I never really wanted but just worked really well.

And I'm jealous of a free standing bath!

We know so many pregnant people at the minute that we were going to give everything away including the moses basket but thankfully we've kept it all!

Thanks hun. It's a bit different now, moved it around as she's got bigger and more toys and junk, haha.

Haha that is why Ivys room looks so bad now, my friend is pregnant and due in August so I've been saving all my crap to pass onto her! I've very kindly offered her my baby walker but little does she know I'm actually veryyyyy excited to get rid of the damn thing

That's gorgeous! I love the leaf over the cot.

Here's a few of Josh's room from when it was first done - his cot is in there now as well as shelves and lots of his things.

    Here's Fin's but obviously he's a boy lol.

For Ivy I'd go with white furniture. Lots of pale pink, white and light minty green. Touches of floral and all very shabby chic/vintagy. Lemme have a look around online and find some pics of what I think xxx

Ikea have some lovely furniture for children. We got Harrison a lovely set of drawers with multi coloured drawer covers. You build it yourself in a way. You can do wardrobes too and have cupboards on them also. We got Harrison a tall set of drawers with blue and whilte drawer front. We have a white cot and a few canvas pics on his wall. His walls are painted yellow and the colour theme is blue.

I would not go too baby as you LO is a little older. Next do some lovely bedroom sets too (all depend on your budget though). They do nice bedding/picture sets also.

Here is Sofia's room... we were Team Yellow so we just went mad with colour! We used furniture we already had and OH painted the wall himself. Those dots were painstaking work!

We were team yellow so Ava-Mae's room is very neutral
    [IMG]

And we will be moving in the next couple of years and our flat is more suited to a couple, so didn't want to put them off with bright colours!

But when we move I can't wait to decorate her room! I'm loving the whole pale pink and white. White furniture, white metal accessories etc.

I've already said there is no way we are doing her room out kitted in her favourite programme/film, otherwise we'd always be redecorating!

I love this bed from Ikea its so gorgeous, and what about a feature wall with something she really loves you don't have to be a great artist just cheat and buy feature wall wallpaper. Or stick those wall stickers up.

    Hey Lou :)
As a fellow 'house mover' I too am re-vamping Tristan's bedroom when we move there.
I wanted soemthing special and handmade sooooo I knew a lady on facebook who makes home things and fabric things so just asked her if she could make a few things for me....I chose the fabric and she did the rest.
I don't know if the pic is clear enough but if you 'like' her page she is called 'The Craft tree' (has a cute tree symbol as her pic) and you can see the pics of what she has made for me there.

I'm going for red, pale blue and navy and the theme is car, planes and trains. Obviously this is for a boy but if you found a theme you wanted you could find a fabric and get some stuff made. The craft tree made me a quilt, 3 canvas pics, door hanger, wardrobe/door tidy and a cushion.
Elsewhere I am buying red and blue bunting to put around the ceiling and a rug to finish the room off. Plus I already have a cute train piggy bank I painted in the colour theme and a drawing of his name 'Tristan' in the colours with cars, planes etc which we are framing and putting up

(P.S the caterpillar you can see, she made from 5 of Tristy's old sleepsuits)
