Insurance against Disability (UK)?

Our parents took out an insurance policy back in the 70's that covered them for caring for a child with disability, in case we were born requiring special care - fortunately we we both born without complications. We have been looking into this as an option (we are in first trimester) but not finding anything other than medical insurance for a complicated birth. Has anyone come across anything like this? Any info gratefully received.

I dont think this is avaliable anymore because you automatically get free care from the NHS and you would be also entitled to benefits if you had to give up work etc (this wasnt avaliable in the 70's) Wishing you a h and h nine months Xx
