i really really really want one!!!
but my stupid hubby to be wont get me one not even by buying me one off ebay.
i need to find a way to persuade him or to try and get one for free. any ideas people?
its like a need not a want realyl honestly lol cos i really need to know whether my baby is a boy or girl now hehe xx

I decided I wanted one too - but after a bit of research I found they work because they are a pH strip

You can get like 50 at the chemist for a pound!

I got some yesterday and am going to try lots of see if the result is varied or how reliable it is. They are old ones that my brother had lying around but appear to still work.

Mine says I'm having a girl but I might go and get some new pH strips and try with those.

what are the colours for them though for the results? also the ones hes got meassure other stuff in the water aswell so which doody flip do i read as its got like 6 little squares on them! xx

ive heard though that if it states boy straight away you are actually meant to leave it a week and then read it again as sometimes it can say boy straight away but then change to girl within a few days.
i jsut want to do it for a bit of fun but H2B is having none of it and wont let me have my fun :humph: xx

nope hes in charge of the finances at the moment and we are trying to save for new baby and our wedding so everything has to be justified for at the moment. just basically if its not actually needed then i cant have it so that we only spend on what we need to help us to save money for baby.
sucks but i know it has to be done.
and also im just too impatient to wait until my 20 week scan lol but i suppose only 5 weeks 6 days to go until my scan guess i will have to wait and let the wait drive me nuts!
i hate knowing that im going to get a surprise as it makes me want to know now instead of having to wait. im a sod when it comes up to my birthday and christmas! xx

mine was called "intelligender" maybe they have different instructions

Mine was by bestbaby website free just had to fill a form out and pay postage for a tenner i think said boy left it a week still said boy went for private gender scan still says boy so worked well for me allthow read a lot of wrong results more chances of it been wrong then right i think..

If you can persuade him to let you have £50 hun i can highly reccomend brayford studio Lincoln for private gender scan i went and loved it and saw bubs in 4d too

i had a look at them and it said 79£ for a private gender scan im sure of it. think i might have to go double check lol.

Its definatley £50 hun i used them in 2 pregnancies now and there gender scan is £50 and they dont advertise the 4D bit but he goes to 4D on the face so you get a peek i love them xxx

I ordered some from Lowe's 250 test strips for $17 bucks! I can't wait to go pick them up after work!...this is so much better than paying $35.00 for intelligender when all its only a ph test strip lol...

Intelligender was right for me. I got boy on 2 tests and I'm having a boy.

Acidic is girl and Akaline is boy. So orange/yellow girl green/blue boy.

Mine don't really seem to do much with my wee so I guess it's girl, trouble is my brother got the strips a bit damp so they are already green/blue in the middle, if any liquid touches the middle it all turns blue/green so I still dont have a proper pH prediction!

I ordered some from Lowe's 250 test strips for $17 bucks! I can't wait to go pick them up after work!...this is so much better than paying $35.00 for intelligender when all its only a ph test strip lol...

From the intelligender website:

The IntelliGender is not a Ph test. Normal Ph of urine will vary from 4.5 to 8. In laboratory testing, the Ph of every sample is measured and both girl results and boy results span the Ph range of 4.5 to 8 with no relevance to gender.

This makes sense to me that its not a ph test because my MW has reported my urine acidic with every urinalysis she's done. Yet my gender test says I'm having a boy.... And hormones (such as progesterone supplements within 10 days, or intercourse within 2 days) can throw off your result.

It also says hormones on the website:

IntelliGender's Gender Prediction Test™ is a simple urine analysis similar to the pregnancy test you took a few weeks ago. It uses first morning urine and a proprietary mix of chemicals which reacts with a combination of hormones to indicate the gender of your baby.

I know, I'm just gonna discount that and go with intelligender since it was the first one I heard about. It just doesn't make sense that the results are opposite for the two same tests, its boggling my brain a little.
Don't think I'll read too much into it I always imagine my bump is male for whatever reason!

LOL, see I keep thinking I should get the Intelligender one and see if the result is the same as the Best Baby one! I really want to know what this baby is, test said boy, my instinct and tons of dreams have said girl....I want to start bargain shopping for this baby!
