Has anyone tried this yet?? anyone get an accurate reading which was confirmed with a sonagram? i did it last week it said boy!!! Just wondering!!!

its actually this test where u pee into the cup and it tells you if your having a boy or girl!!! its sold in the US

My friend did this, it said boy, scan said boy and sure enough he was a boy

I did one exactly the same but a diferent brand name called best baby, And said boy and well he is definatley all boy :)

It's a Ph strip. Alkaline wee (blue/green) favours a boy, Acidic wee (orange/yellow) favours a girl :p

How accurate that is I really don't know - but worth trying I guess.

You can get them for like a penny off eBay, but would like to see a lot of people who know what they've having take them to see how accurate they are.

I honestly think if they were any good the doctors would be using them.

I did one from Hello Baby. The colors are opposite for the one I did--orange is boy, green is girl. Anyhow I got a boy result...it said wait a week to make sure it doesn't change color and it didn't. So now I'm just waiting a few weeks to confirm it with ultrasound.

i used it, said girl. My scan also said girl.

I used a best baby gender test and the results told me I'm having a girl, but scan said otherwise... There wasn't really much mistaking he's a boy :) I agree with EmyDra and think it's a pH test. There have been a few women that have changed their diets and results have changed accordingly! HTH :) x

My doctor offers this test, so I'm guessing it is a little more accurate than what you can buy off of eBay.

I thought it was a blood test. I didn't do the test because it was costly.

ETA: I was incorrect - Acu-Gen is the test the doctor advertises and it is a blood test. ;)

The one I took is impacted somehow by hormones, I think--(or do hormones impact PH?) It said no progesterone for 10 days before the test, and no intercourse for 48 hours before the test.

I'm kind of curious as to why the boy result has to sit for a week to be an "accurate" reading. I'd love to know more about how these tests work!

This is getting wierder and wierder! Everywhere I've read about it says the acidic orange/yellow is girl and the blue/green is boy. Also, from what I can gather I think you have to take them quite early on.

Luckily I have the kind of family who (for unexplained reasons) have Ph strips lying around the house (and blue litmus paper...but I dont think that'd do much!) so I'm going to experiment.

The blood test one intrigues me, whats that about? That sounds more accurate I would say.
