Hello everyone! I was told about this site by a great friend of mine. She's pregnant and comes here for support and advice! I thought I would do the same.

A little about me. My husband and I were married September 9, 2006. Ever since we met in 2004, we always knew we wanted children. We decided to take the "see what happens" route. That quickly became difficult because I have irregular cycles, sometimes up to 60 days in between. We lived in Florida at the time and we moved to my hometown in Washington State in October 2006. We were focused on getting settled, settling in our jobs, and jsut adjusting to life 3,000 miles from where we were accustomed to. I was SO happy to be with my friends and family again. Pretty soon, the questions started - "When are you going to have a baby?" That's a question I hate, because how do you tell someone, I WISH more than anything that I already did have a baby!!

All through 2007 we still didn't get pregnant. I finally sucked up my fears and decided I MUST go to the OBGYN. I had my full physical/pap/pelvic/blood work and she also sent me for an Ultrasound to check out my ovaries, uterus, cervix. Everything turned out great, except some minor elevations of testosterone and DHEAS. She said it was very mild and no cysts on my ovaries.

I was then given Metformin to hopefully regulate me, told to have more baby making sex, chart my cycles for 3 months and come back. She said she's optimistic of my chances with Metformin alone and said if Met doesn't do the trick within 6 months, she will add Clomid to the mix and take me off Vitex.

I am also battling obesity, but given my reproductive organs are okay, she didn't see the problem with me getting pregnant now, just encouraged me to stay on Weight Watchers, WHICH I LOVE!!!

My husband and I couldn't have a happier life as it is, but we are ready for children. I pray, hope and wish for a baby every single day. I am kind of neurotic about it sometimes and I am just now learning about my body. I've been reading TCOYF and The Conception Chronicles. I am so excited and scared at the same time, but I am so ready to be a Mommy. I get tears in my eyes thinking of what a great father my husband will be.

I know there are many other people out there on this journey and I am looking to meet some new friends, who understand, who have gone through it and know the heartache, the fears, the neurotic ways that we just can't explain. I am so thrilled to have found this site. Nice to meet everyone!
