Expressing is no way any gague as to how much milk you have. I never managed to express much out yet Ellis was BF for 5.5 months and we started on FF as he was in SCBU with dangerously low blood sugar and body temp (traumatic birth too) I used to put him to my breast in between feeds. Pop over to the BF section and seek some assistance, there are some very knowledgable and supportive ladies that will help you. It may not be too late but whatever decision you make please do not feel guilty
