am nipping over from ttc as am at a complete loss ... weve been ttc for nearly 2 years now with mmc in may and am just starting a new cycle but dont know what would be best ... weve tried the every other day bdin, the every day bdin and the random bdin but no luck so can i ask what worked for you ladies ??

i do chart and this is my 2nd cycle back on the opk's ... any advise would be appriecated thank you :flower:

Ovulations Tests!! We used them in our third month of trying to conceive and they worked first time!

I agree, we conceived after using ovulation tests too! You can get them cheap on the internet or a bit more expensive in pharmacies xxx

Sorry you're having such a tough time and sorry for your loss.

Have you tried Preseed? (or other brand alternative). I have heard lots of ladies being successful with it.

Sorry to say it but relax. I was totally chilled when I conceived because I just didn't think we had a chance that month. And I know how much it can take over and make you tense as I was trying for 3 years with my ex with no success (turns out we needed IVF due to him). When your body is that tense and stressed it can cause unexplained infertility. I know you most likely don't want to hear that though but it is true.

I used to chart and use OPKs, but in the end all i did was use OPKs and Preseed and we had our daughter :)

instead soft cups - keep them in for a full day if you can, benelyn chesty cough medicane (it has some ingrediant in it that aids conception but be carefull not to take it once you think you may be pregnant as it can be harmful to baby) , bum in air and lying down for a few hours after being naughty which you probably know already x

are you taking prenatal vitamins also?

I forgot about the cough medicine, it can be any that contain guaifenesin. It helps thin cervical mucous so the sperm can swim through. But ONLY take it when you are ovulating. That is where the opk's will help. Supermarkets do their own cough medicine's that contain it and are much cheaper.

I know this is the most annoying thing that people can say but i honestly conceived the month i didn't bother with any of the other stuff!! It was Christmas time and had run out of OV sticks, couldnt get anymore delivered due to the post, as i didnt know when i was OVing i didnt bother with conceive plus (which i normally use)

The other time i fell pregnant (April 2010 - ended in MC) we had my brother in law staying with us (thin walls!!), so wasn't trying properly then either!!

hi i used pre-seed ovulation tests got on pregnancare pre conception vitamins for me and my husband and used the smep plan (look it up on google) :) good luck xx p.s i had kinda given up hope so wasnt as obsessed as i had been every other month lol

the month before i got my bfp ... i told myself i wasnt going to stress as with it being crimbo etc i kind of pushed it to back of my mind and set myself that was going to start again in january .... well january came and i got my bfp .... apart from trying not to think about it only other thing was that i had my routine bloods done for my thyroid done at beginning of dec they checked them and iron and make sure i was ovulating ... came back my iron was low so was prescribed iron tabs and as the saying goes the rest is history ... not sure if that has anything to do with it but was strange how we had been ttc for 15months with nothing then the month i stop trying and get my iron sorted hey bingo :) ............good luck :)

oh yes in the whole of dec im sure we only b/d a hand ful of times from what i can remember xxxx

I used OPKs too, didn't chart that month thou.
We were totally relaxed as it was the christmas/new year holidays, and wasn't really thinking about it. We BDed 4 times that month. 5 days before O, 1 day before O, day of O and 2 days after O. I didn't think we had a chance, but i got my BFP. I know its easier said then done, but i honest believe being relaxed got our BFP.

Wishing you lots of luck :) xx

thank you ladies for your lovely replies and thank you for you honestly i think sometimes we certainly need to hear the things we dont want to hear and appriecate your honesty

am not too sure if the preseed may put hubby off but am thinking about certainly giving the medicine ago and may drop the temping this month as i do think if the chart is there i maybe a tad guilty of obsessing  and just use the ovaulation tests

thank you again :flower:

Hey sweetie....My hubby works for a large medical company that specialises in fertily and everything that goes with it...well he had a meeting with one of the spcialists there and apparently he said that most people take to long when doing the deed....apparently is better to just have a quickie.....i know how unromantic, but if i think about it all my boys were conceived that way! You never know its worth a try...:hugs: Fingers crossed for you lovely.

no way how weird i was taking that when i got pregnant but i never knew it would help!

Sorry hun, haven't read the other posts but here's my take:

Listen to your body. It took us seven months to conceive with Toby. I had no EWCM or any signs of ovulation so we were doing "best guess". We did try ovulation tests but they were always negative! The month we actually got pregnant we thought we missed the window as I was away with the girls for a weekend. When I got back I was just really horny and jumped hubby three night in a row!!!

This time round we got pregnant first time (still in shock). After having Toby my body became textbook. I get EWCM for a couple of days and then ovulation cramps. I can even guess the months I don't ovulate.

So my advice would be to stop the science, even for a couple of months. Try and relax and just jump your husband when you suddenly (inexplicably) feel horny, and as often as you feel horny. If you get EWCM have sex every day you see it and the first day it disappears.

Trust me - I know how tempting it is to want to get it just right, but for me when I stopped stressing it worked. I don't think stress stops you conceiving, but it may make you miss some body signs.

Hope you get your BFT! Good luck!!!!

I would recommend preseed as well. Just use a really small amount though - nothing like what the box recommends. Maybe 1 or 0.5 mls. And you inject it inside so it's a little further up.
Also OPKs are very useful.
Have you or your partner had any tests done? If not, it might be worth doing them.

Both times I got pregnant I was charting (why not, that's also our method of birth control) and BD'ed around ovulation instead of avoiding it. Just like BabyBrave says -- listen to your body. I'm always especially ready to go around my ovulation time.

we tried for 8 years before it happened. I have PCOS and was put on clomid and finally conceived after 6 months of being on that. It is so easy to feel yourself giving up hope but even when you feel this, don't give up. Every month it can be such a disappointment not to see a positive. I got really serious about confronting my health. Not overeating, making sure I exercised five days a week and even started jogging. I'm sure the clomid helped because it made me regular every month but I think what really helped and what did it was exercise, eating right and clomid combo. I had only lost two pounds when I found out I was pregnant. Once I saw my cm turn fertile then we bd every day that we could because my husband had no issues with his side of fertility. I always O'd late in my cycle...like cd 22 so I always made sure we bd until cd 23 just to make sure we got it. On the month it happened I didn't think it would happen. I had given up hope and we just BD but I seriously didn't expect it. We weren't trying hard on that month and I guess that is why it was so surprising. people always told me it will happen when you give up and least expect it...it would frustrate me to no end to hear people say this because I had fertility issues and couldn't just give up. It was as people said. The month I lost all hope at all and was ready to do IUI I found out I was pregnant. I hope it happens for you soon. As long as you Ovulate and you DTD then there is always a chance...just keep that in mind. If your not Ovulating every month you seriously need to see a reproductive specialist that could possible put you on fertility medicine if your not already on it.

thank you again so much for all your advise ... it has been a real help, more than words can say hearing all the advise so again thank you :flower:

i mc'd when i was younger and with been young i was scared to tell anyone i was not with my husband back then so when i got pregnant in feb we was both so happy but unfortunately ended in mmc but it turns out iam reshus negative (my body rejected baby due to my blood type been O neg which less than 7% of peple have and hubby been different blood) so i have now had the d injection so my body wont reject again (kicking myself for not saying anything before and getting injection) but with mmc been in may 2010 we again have to wait 12 months before any tests ... but hopefully we wont get that far, i got preggy on the 11 month last time :winkwink:

sweatpea i so understand what you mean when people will say things they dont understand hurt so much like maybe nows not the right time and it will happen .... i knew nothing about my body before as was on the depo injection and then when we started ttc i learnt my body inside out and know when am ovin and even without the tempin and things its like oh here ov comes i carnt ignore it i carnt miss it and i just find it so hard to relax but i think am defo going to leave the therm in the draw this month and get back on track with the lossing weight ... because thinking back i joined a gym just before we got preggy so maybe there is something in it ;)

Groovyjem ..yes I seriously don't think I would have gotten pregnant if I had not changed my diet and started seriously exercising. I was also taking vitamin B to help with my energy level and was feeling terrific! I guess you can say I was focusing more on my health and less on the not being pregnant feeling. You probably know what day you O and if like me it is the same day every day...just start checking your cervical mucus about a week before you are supposed to O and then as soon as it turns fertile then do the BD! I really really hope it happens for you and soon.
