As the title said... Is Ezra too feminine? What are your thoughts? Do you know any Ezra's?

Thanks x

not at all, its a biblical boys name. i love it, its on our list x

I don't know any Ezra's, I don't think it's too feminine. Personally I'm not a fan, it's just one of those names that doesn't sit right with me, can't really justify why x

I know a little boy called Ezra and think its fine for a boys name, I think more of a boys name than girls x

It reminds me of the show pretty little liars.
I like it though.

I love love love Ezra. I don't think it's feminine.

I actually know a girl named Ezra and it doesn't work at all. It's very much a boy's name to me.

It's a boys name to me, I don't know any. Not 100% on it but I do like it. Xx

Its definitely a "boy" name to me, I can't really imagine it on a girl. I don't know any Ezra's.

I don't know any Ezra's but i really like it and think its perfect for a boy.

I'm reaaly bemused that it could ever be considered feminine! I don't think it is at all. I know one Ezra from uni, he's 23 though. I don't know any children with the name.

Ezra is a biblical name. The man Ezra even has a bible book named after him. I think he was a scribe and/or high priest or something, in case you're wondering about the history of the name.

I don't think it's feminine at all. It's pretty cool and unique too.

I don't know any but cannot imagine it on a girl!

thanks everyone! still considering the name - someone else over the weekend told me the name is too feminine... i love it but it's annoying me that people will think my son has a girls name :(

Ezra was originally a boys name.
And tho I see it becoming more common for girls, it is still vastly accepted as a boys name.
So no. No, I do not think it sounds too feminine at all :flower:
I love it and it was actually on my list :)

It is annoying that ppl are like that, but honestly if you were to name bubs that, soon enough that person will see his BOY personality and see that it's really not all that feminine

I have never known anyone named Ezra, but it's a well known male biblical name. I think most ppl will feel it's a boy's name. I wouldn't describe it as an "overly masculine" name (maybe bc it ends in an "a" but there are other common boy's names that also end in "a"). But it's not feminine either.

My son's name is Ezra. To be honest with you, we got told it was feminine a lot too and one person said "oh she was a great woman in the Bible" but I'm so glad we stuck with it! We love the name and it suits him very well. he is now 2 1/2 years old and I haven't heard any comments about it being a girl's name in probably 2 years at least. we actually get complimented on it all the time now, so my opinion is if you love the name, go for it!

I don't know anyone with the name Ezra personally, but I've always thought it was a boy's name.
