Is gardening safe whilst pregnant?

Hello ladies.

It's spring in nz and its time to get planting.
After a mc and a mmc before this pregnancy and too many people I know losing their babies in the third trimester I've been a bit paranoid.

I've been avoiding doing the garden because of cat poo - toxoplasmosis and microorganisms in compost. However there is only so much dh can do as he's busy so I've been reconsidering doing the garden.

What are your thoughts on gardening whilst pregnant?

My doctor told me it's fine if you just be careful, wear good gloves, be really sure to not get any dirt in your mouth, eyes, or nose, and to wash up real well afterwards.

Gloves and hand washing should do the trick!
