I've been "bunged up" for nearly a week now and no matter how much high fibre food i eat or water i drink nothings happening.

Thanks

I dont think they recomend using that in pregnancy. As it can cause stomach cramps. I had it in my first pregnancy and had really bad cramps after taking it. They recommend lactolose(sp) which isnt the nicest but its alot softer on your tummy. Hope you find some relief soon.:hugs:

talk to your mw and see if you can get a reccomendation on what to take from her
or prune juice works well

senna and other stimulating laxatives aren't recommended. you can take lactulose, fybogel or use a glycerine suppository. if you speak to the pharmacist they'll point you in the right direction. x

i had the same problem last week,i tried everything like pure fruit juices & fruit but nothing seemed to work, so while i was out i nipped in to boots the chemist & told them my situation & they would only recommend fybogel to me in which i bought, you just empty the sachet in to some cold water & drink it over it actually a pleasant drink (orange flavour) but keep stirring as it becomes congeled at the bottom of the glass.u can take 2 sachets per day,

when i finally manged to go to the toilet OMG i thought i was delivering the baby from my ass lol,

al continue with the other few sachets thats left til i get regular bowel movements

I was told only fybrogel is safe as senekot can be a bit harsh:) hope you feel better soon!

my doctor prescribed me lactalose (Sp) but gave me the childrens dose as they just want to make the movement easier and softer and not give you explosive trots hope something happens for you soon xx
