Is it safe to go to the hairdresser?

Ok, so I know this is probably a ridiculous question but I was wondering if anyone knows if it's safe to go to the hair salon in the 2WW or in early pregnancy? I get highlights done every 2 months or so and now I'm in my first 2WW I'm scared to go the salon just in case. Am I being silly?

you'll be fine, go get your roots done. You cant put your life on hold every two weeks on the just in case x x x
