Is it too early to test?

Hi I use clearblue digital ovulation tests had smiley faces from Tuesday (6th August) till Thursday (8th August) but on the Friday was negative (No smiley)

When was ovulation?

I went and used and used an Internet cheapie pregnancy test today and it was negative

if you got a +OPK from the 6th to 8th, you most likely O around the 8th. so that puts you at 5 dpo which is way too early to test. I would wait to test again until sunday. (10dpo)

I am 6dpo, fertility friend shows v few bios til 9dpo. It's still very few then but increases up to the average bfp day of 13.5dpo. I will be testing Friday (9dpo) cos I can't wait any longer but in the knowledge it would be very unlikely to get a bfp that early! With my dd I got a bfn at 10dpo, then a bfp at 13dpo. With my last pregnancy I got a bfp at 11dpo x

If you got a smiley face on 6th, probably you O'ed a day after or two days after that.
