im sure you see this question from new mom's all the time...but i am not sure! i have enough to feed her when she wants... but i dont feel like my boobs have engorged at all...they dont hurt or feel "full" but i will be 6 days postpartum in the morning... shouldnt they have swelled up, felt tingley/achey by now? or can your milk be in without pain or fullness?

I never got any pain or fullness when my milk came in. I only ever felt full if I missed a feed (like if Thomas slept longer at night than usual, or we went out and my mum gave him some milk I had expressed earlier).

Interesting! I keep expecting to wake up with "huge boobs" like everyone had happen to them...but it never happens lol. I dont have the "streams" come out when i squeeze them either...just lots of beading of milk on the end.

It can be up to 6 days when your milk comes in.Mine was easily missed,I had two rocks in place of breasts haha but it doesnt happen like that for everyone.

Many women if they feed regularly from day one, never experience engorgement, I only experienced engorgement with my eldest and this one; my eldest because his latch wasn't very good and this one because I had a crazy oversupply from the beginning which has never settled down and I still get engorgement even now xx

If your baby poop is yellow, your milk is in (i think).. also squeeze your nipple, if milk comes out, then you know!

she didnt poop since the day she was born until last night... it was meconnium again but lightening up.

i have white come out when i squeeze, but its not in "streams" like i was told it would be.

When your let down happens it'll be in streams.. when you just squeeze it'll likely be drops.

I'm not sure but I thought in the first week baby should be having a stool for each day of life, 1 on day 1, 2 on day 2, etc.
I'd def keep an eye on it, once your milk comes in if baby still isn't pooping at least 3 times a day, I'd get it checked out just to be sure.
IS your LO peeing enough?

she pees like crazy... and my pediatrician said its fine... he said breastfed babies are different...one may poop every time they eat and one may poop once a week and either is considered "normal." i brought it up to him twice lol.
