no she is not sleeping through the night! just because your son did when he was 6 weeks old doesnt mean my baby is!!

anyone else get sick of people saying this?? im especially sick of hearing it from the MIL. lol.

:dohh:

Mine is 16 months now and people have gave up asking:haha:

Me too!

After 16 months I don't even remember a full night's sleep but it's much easier now as I stopped wishing for it.

Most frequently asked question!!!

Then you get the "my baby slept through from 2 days old blah f*cking blah!!"

I've resigned myself to getting up in the night forever... It's my worst case senario defense mechanism. Think the worst and it's never as bad!!

A mother at playgroup this morning was asking me what time he goes to bed.I said about 9ish.She then said what time does he get up?I replied,11 oclock,2ish and then around 5 and for the day at 7.
Hers slept from 8pm to 7am.
Hate her!:nope::haha:

People still ask me this, and I seriously just want to punch them in the face!

Why try and piss off a sleep deprived woman :gun:

ETA If one more person gives me a pitying look and says oh well my LO slept through from .... *insert ridiculously young age here* I think I may actually punch them. That'll stop them feeling so smug :growlmad:

:haha: We had a great night, 7pm-7am!!! And a few night cuddles/feeds in between

Mine STTN, but I feel so awkward being asked this. Just because he STTN doesn't mean he's a perfect baby (he is anyway, lol... just not BECAUSE of that).
I also feel guilty for other moms... I am not some sleep-genius, I just got lucky. Its like winning the lottery only I can't share the winnings around. I would totally share some of this luck if I could!

And I totally miss my son in the evenings, lol.. we've woken him up for a cuddle/feed a few times.

I am sick too, and no he is not on solids either. On another note does anyone else panic when they sleep an hour longer than usual, or sit in bed at night after a feed waiting for them to wake up for wind/feed as you don't want to be woken 15min after falling asleep.

People have been asking me this since he was a few days old, it drives me mad. Whenever strangers ask me about him the first thing they say is 'is he good, does he sttn?'

well, he practically bit my nipples off for weeks when breastfeeding early on and still occasionally hurts me while nursing... does that help any?
:flower:

Same here!! my son is 8wks tomoro and has just this wk started sttn whoop whoop, have been with my friend who i met in hospital and who's daughter was born 12hrs after tom and her little un is feeding every 2-3hrs and she's fekking knackered......i did not mention my good fortune as i value her friendship to much!

ahhhh YES i hate this question more than ever!!!! Although ive recently joined a baby massage class and lots of mums there bfeed too and also say their little ones dont sleep through the night either and theyre a lot older than Jacob- 2months....

And yes ive also resigned myself to the fact tat i dont think hes ever going to sleep through or at least not n the near future and have just started to deal with it rather than wish he would !!lol xxx

lol well im glad im not the only one... next time my MIL asks me this she will be getting a punch in that lovely face of hers :D
xx

I never slept through the night as a baby and I turned out an angel :smug:

how could any answer benefit them? i dunno why ppl ask this?

the older generation seem to have a very odd idea about when babies should sleep through the night.

They have eithier forgotten and made it up or we all did sleep through really early which was probably due to us being on our fronts and the fact that gripe water had booze in it.
