Girls Im going out of my mind - Oliver has never been a good sleeper but for the last 2 months has been going from 7.30-3am then bottle and 4am-6.30 (before this he was up on the hour every hour every night and I was a state).
Since this time last week it seems to be happening all over again :nope::cry: he goes to sleep about 7.30 and then come 10.30-11 he's screaming and the last 2 nights has taken a 7oz bottle aboout 11pm then woken at 2 and taken another 7oz and then just WILL NOT settle back to sleep I lay him down and the second Im out the room I hear him spin round and he's sat up clapping - then he falls over and bangs himself against the solid sides and this goes on til about 4 when he finally goes back to sleep til about 5.20. I'm starting to get constant headaches and dizziness again due to sheer lack of sleep. He cant catch his naps in the day either but naps in the car so he gets about 2 hours a day (of me driving round barely able to concentrate on the road Im that tired)
The only other thing Im wondering about is could he have tummy ache - is it normal that he's sick a little after every bottle still? And that I have to keep him upright after a solid feed for a few hours or he's sick? This means he cant get to crawl. Is this normal?
Im at a loss I know no-one can help as such but any advice whatsoever would be appreciated. Oh I cant leave him to cry - I have sort of tried but he ends up banging himslef against his cot and Im frightened he will hurt himself ....

:hugs::hugs: Yes hun, there is sleep regression & a major growth spurt at 9 mnths. For Omar it started at around 8.5 mnths. Until now he's not settled, Last night he woke up for 1 hr before finally going back to sleep but he didnt ask for a bottle for the 1st time. When it started he was waking up & refusing to go back to sleep & was taking one bottle after another. As for reflux, Omar is still sicky, he even gags frm his saliva & brings up loads which is not pleasant with solids. He moves alot & doesnt sit still even while eating. Once he gags or coughs he spits & most of the time he projectile vomit. I dont have much advice as we'r having the same issues. Big hugs :hugs::hugs:

Thanks for replying hun :hugs: sorry you're all going through this too but glad we aren't alone i feel like im going mad! So do you think Oliver has reflux too?:hugs:

Reflux starts at an early age. Is he teething? The excess saliva frm teething also causes throwing up. Omar's reflux was better at 7.5 mnth but it started to show again at 8.5 mnths as he started teething & had some cold.

Did Oliver use to spit when he was tiny as well? He could be a haapy spitter xx

Yeah he's always been sick after bottles from tiny - I guess he is just a sicky baby!
Thanks hun and hope you guys (and us!) get some sleep tonight!:coffee:

dont know whether this could work for you, but my LO has to wear a helmet as he has plagiocephaly and was constantly waking himslef up by crashing into the sides of the cot. We tried him in his travel cot which has mesh sides, and he has slept straight through ever since. Might be worth a try for u xx

I was also thinking of moving the travel cot to our room tonight xx

just thought of another thing we have done which seems to help, and that is to leave a fan on the lowest setting all night, not directed at him but the 'white noise' seems to help and means he doesnt get woken by the tiny noises we make when we creep upstairs or to the loo!

Daisy is definitely going through some sort of sleep regression or growth spurt at the moment. She is up literally all night at the moment.

Megan is up all night as well lately. Her teething isnt helping matters - but some nights she is awake for hours at a time no matter what I do! I feel like neither of us is sleeping much. She fights her afternoon nap SOOO much too which she never did before. She's so unsettled some nights - I was seriously considering co-sleeping but then I dont want to start that habit either. She wont accept my dh if she wakes up screaming - she only wants me. But it seems sometimes that even I cant calm her down.

She also thinks 4am is the time to play and talk & calls out mama & dada in the cutest voice. If I do go in there to try to get her back to sleep - she squeels in excitement like Oh yippee its time to play!

Hiya! It's been happening with Mairi for about 2 months now and it's exhausting. The thing that bugs me is, if I mention it on FB, some other plonker pipes up 'Well my wee one goes all night no problem'. That really doesn't help. Fingers crossed we all get some sleep tonght. :hugs: xxx

We're going through the same with Lola - im shattered! Im up and down all night long for hours at a time, im just praying it passes soon x
