Dylan is 4 weeks old tomorrow, and I'm noticing a few changes. He has always been pretty good of an evening, with waking and feeding during the night feeds taking less than 30 mins and he falls right back asleep. Early evenings were sometimes unsettled but not overly bad.

Last night Dylan had his first unsettled night feed, where it took over 1.5hrs to get him to go back down. Also, he is sometimes more unsettled in the evenings, well more frequently now. Am I leaving the honeymoon phase now onto a more intense period? And if so, how long will this last? Dylan wakes for feeds every 3 hours, which isn't too bad....

I'm not sure, but my mum is certain it takes a few weeks for a baby to get over the shock of the birth and then they start to misbehave!

Not sure either but it was probably around 4-6 weeks when my LO stopped sleeping soo much and would be more aware so therefore a bit harder to get to sleep etc.

Is he starting to be awwke more often during the day and therefore getting overtired in the evenings? That's what happened to us.

Definitely!! 2 weeks for us then colic hit us. I think the drugs had finally worn off of her. I had pethadine quite early in the labour and it didn't effect me but it must have effected her.
