Is this a normal pattern for a 3 week old?

I BF my dd1 and she only fed for 10-15 mins then went to sleep but dd2 now just turned 3 weeks seems to be in a totally differnt pattern of feeding which is very time consuming as i have also got dd1 (nearly 2yrs) and ds (4yrs).
This is her pattern....

Wake at 7:30 am , bum change and then feed untill 12 , there is sometimes a school run in the middle of this.

Sleeps from 12 - 3pm then feeds untill 9or 10pm at night

sleeps untill 3am feeds for 1hr then sleeps untill 7:30am then it starts again.

So basically she is only sleeping for 3 hrs in the day and attached the rest of the time. She did have a tongue tie that was corrected at 1 week old. She does do alot of nuzzling in the day ... but if she does doze off i put her to bed and within 3 mins shes awake again unless its the times listed above???

hiya im a breastfeeding peer supporter of mums in my town. It could be your attachment or maybe just a comfort suckling. Is she gaining weight well? and when she's feeding, how is her sucking? Can u hear a rythmic swallowing? It should be sort of quick sucks and swallows at first and then after a while it should be start to go a little longer and drawn out sucks and swallows. Babies often feed for hours and hours if their attachment snt quite right. But it very well could be a comfort thing. Maybe have someone (health visitor or peersupporter etc) have a little look at your attachment. Hope this helps! Just remember that these long feeds wont last forever!! xx

hi there , she attaches and feeds as you have described and evenually drifts of to sleep but then when i put her in her moses either still on her feeding cushion or not she will wake within 3-5 mins and the whole process starts again.

She will also sound really full and possette milk, she in gaining well and has gone from 9lb 11oz to 10lb 7oz in a week and she is just over 3 weeks x popping and weeing lots
