is this bad for baby?!

I have never really had any cravings until recently, I am obsessed with eating tubs of potato salad from aldi and chedder cheese cut into little chunks!

is the potato salad bad for baby though?! seeing as it contains mayoneise?!(sp?)

I feel bad for eating it but its just to irresistible

I looked at the ingredients and it doesn't say pasteurized anywhere on the box?!

I think it's only homemade mayo that's the problem - because of the eggs. I may be wrong but I think it will almost definitely be pasteurised if it's shop bought. So chow down! And enjoy stuffing your face

I agree. Its almost definately pasteurised if its from Aldis- 99% sure! Cheese is full of calcium for baby's bones too x

I wouldn't worry. I have avoided all the foods we're meant to and had a sweet potato burger at a restaurant the other day and got food poisoning!! So even if you do avoid it you can still can sick!

I bet potato salad from Aldi does not contain raw egg. Is there a hotline number on the container you can call, to set your mind at ease? Potato salad with cheddar cheese sounds delicious!

I cant imagine Aldi would have a room in the back where they make their own mayonnaise with raw eggs. It's very unlikely

Is this stuff in a jar off the shelf, or is from a deli? If it's from a deli, then we're advised in NZ NOT to eat it as things can get contaminated from other products that sit near it, such as cold meats etc...
