Is this normal?

Hey,

This may be TMI...but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I have recently been feeling pain in my external vaginal area...mainly when I first stand up but at other times as well. It is uncomfortable...but nothing I cant deal with. I was just wondering if it was normal.

that can actually be a sign of spd... could be other things tho so ask ur midwife x

Thanks for the reply. I just looked up SPD and I dont think I have any of the other symptoms. :-/

Im gonna mention it to my dr at my next apt. Its not really bothering me 2 much.

I wonder if it has something to do with increased blood flow to that area when I stand up? Its a bit worse in the middle of the night if I get up to use the bathrm. I dunno...lol

Thats how my spd started out.. i was like it for a few weeks and ignored then gradually the symptons built. Defo worth mentioning now just in case so they can maybe do something about it before it gets too bad.

its also how my spd started... a few shootin pains here nd there... then got more often nd then it spread... lo's head shouldn't engage for a good few weeks yet nd that won't be external pains.

Does SPD go away after the baby is born or is it a long term type thing? :-/

Hey I have those pains. More like the muscles but in front or very down below, I put it down to loose muscles.
