Is this normal???

My newborn has moments of rapid breathing combined with facial spasms (eyes opening & closing, smiles & tongue sticking out all in a rapid fashion) when she falls asleep sometimes.

Is this normal or should I call her doctor?

I should also mention it goes away as soon as I move her & she wakes up

I think it's normal, think it could possibly be wind. My LO still does this when she has wind. She can be fast asleep and will open her eyes and close them again. Her eyes will also roll backwards. The smile is also a sign of wind
Maybe moving her moves the wind

Yea that's totally normal, it's not wind, its the baby being asleep
