Hi Ladies,

I wasnt sure where to post this (MOD's, please move elsewhere if needed)

I have noticed a couple of spots on my daughter this evening whilst giving her a bath.

When i got her out i looked closer at them, she has one big red spot on her back with a small pimple like spot on it and also has two other very small pimple like spots, she also has 2 on her front.

Im not sure what they are but the first thing that came to me is chicken pox, She is in her 3rd week of starting school so it wouldnt suprise me if she has caught it from there as none of family/friends have had it around them.

My worry aswell is, my Mum has never had chicken pox and she is coming to visit tomorrow, so i need to try and suss out if it is or not.

She went to bed about an hour ago and i have counted 5 spots in total, when i check on the kids before i go to bed im going to have a quick look and see if anymore have come.

She has had abit of a cough and runny nose for the last week aswell, which i have read that this is one of the symptoms.

I have added some pics, there are not very good as my camera is shickingly bad! The first pic is the one on her chest, just below her nipple and has another one lower down. The 2nd pic is the one of her back, one big red one then one at the top left corner, there is another one to the left of the big one but you cant really see it on here.

Do you think it might be or not??

certainly looks like how my sons started out :( x

I hope it is not the pox :nope::nope: I never had them , my doctor said I must have been immuned to them cause i have been around people that had them and never got them. I heard they can be dangerous to pregnant women. My 3 boys get the shot, do they offer the shot were you live? I mean my doc said they can still get it (Doubtful) but if they do he said it would be a very mild case cause of the shot. My boys are big now 20,17 and 11 and now I only get it for my 11yr old, some people choose not to get it. My two older boys are big enough to decide if they want to be re-immunized for it or not. I hope things turn out well and your precious little one doesn't have it :hugs::hugs::hugs:

It looks like it could be the start of them. They usually start to appear on the back and tummy/chest. x

I think so. Sucks but its better for her to get them now. The earlier the easier and less painful it is. I was hoping amelie would get them before her brother was born but looks like not gonna happen :dohh:
