I know a line's a line on a hpt and levels etc can vary from person to person but I'm really worried I'm getting my hopes up to be let down by a chemical or something.

AF is due on Tuesday (CD27, today is CD25). I didn't get even a near positive opk this month but the strongest were CD11 and 12. So I'm guessing I maybe ovulated around CD13?

I took a test yesterday (CD24) with FMU on an IC and got a very very faint positive. Took another with the same sample and got the same. Went out to buy a Superdrug one (used SMU) which was a lot clearer, but posted it on Countdown to Pregnancy and someone said those tests are well known to give false positives. So obviously I then went and bought a different one (Asda own brand) which was lighter but fairly clear too.

This morning hubby talked me into doing another IC to look for progression, even though I explained it takes 48hours, but he said a cheapie can't hurt. But it has hurt because the line is still incredibly light so I'm worried! I should be around 12dpo so should it really still be this light? I didn't take a test until after my missed period with my son but the line came up strong and straight away. I had loads of symptoms this time last week but they've all disappeared now apart from cramping and some sharp pains.

Will post test photos in comments as I can't get it to work here.

First two tests. IC with FMU. Maybe 11/12dpo?

IC with SMU (although not very concentrated) - this morning at maybe 12/13dpo. Is a bit more visible irl but still not very dark at all.

I see lines clearly on the Superdrug and asda tests. I know the IC tests are rubbish for progression. Your lines look fine to me for how many dpo you are. Congratulations :)

I see lines on the Superdrug and Asda tests. Ics aren't as good for progression so sometimes it can take a few days for a more clear line :)

I can see lines on your Superdrug and ASDA test and the lines look good for how many dpo you are :hugs:

Those are good lines. Like other ladies have said the ic are terrible for progression.

Thanks ladies! Think I'll lay off the ICs then (hubby won't be amused when I go out a buy loads more of the pricier ones :laugh2:).

Here's today's progression. I was worried at first that it's not much darker but I think by the time I took the pic it had dried a bit and the progression is a bit more obvious. What do you think?

They look fine to me. And to be honest I don't think Superdrug are awful for false positives. I think they're good at detecting tiny amounts of hCG and I know the dye in those varies hugely but I haven't a single time had a false positive on them and I have used loads of them! I think it's always good to back any test up with another brand, which you have done, they can't all be wrong. As for line strength, as you know this will vary between pregnancies so I wouldn't worry about this, they look good anyway :)

Great lines! :wohoo:

Congratulations! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months! :happydance:
