I have only just started to get a bit of a bump. I used to have a pretty flat tummy with no fat over it really. Since being pregnant tho my tummy seems to have developed a fatty layer on it and the bump area is fairly soft.

When do bumps go hard? I'm paranoid I just look a bit chubby!! I'm not used to having a podgy tum. X

my bump is also rock hard, started SUPER flat tummy with NO fat. That said I went through the "pudgy stage" so I completely understand what you are feeling, that "soft layer" last about 2 days as bump was getting huge. I think it was prep for the skin stretch... give yourself a few more days :)

Mines a mixture. From my belly button down it's hard - not rock hard though. Above my belly button is all jelly baby :D

i started out with a perfectly flat tummy too. whether its hard or soft now depends on whether i'm standing or sitting lol if i'm sitting it feels kind of soft, but standing it's hard and really tight.

Pretty hard...especially hard in the morning. Still smaller than most at 25.5 weeks.

This is my 4th baby and I started out in great shape. No fat or anything on my belly EXCEPT when I bent over I had the famous mommy pouch. Not much but no way in the world would I have been able to deny ever having children (not that I would want to but you know...) My belly is hard on the lower part and softer on the top.

I had a jelly belly before getting pregnant. not really 'showing' yet but baby has relocated my fat to the upper section and its pretty firm below that. Its not firm when I lie on my back or sit though...when I stand its firm from the belly button down.

Depends on where the baby is positioned. Some days it's harder than others.

I think maybe it depends on how far along and how high up ghe uterus us. I am very firn from top to bottom now. I can feel my uterus us up above my belly button. But I certainly went through sone soft times. It's only really firmed up over the past month

    Squishy ...

Its harder in the morning, but I imagine gas (sorry) increases during the day and makes it more squishy.
