i LOVED my LO being a newborn :( he was so easy and so happy, he went at least 4 hourly at night, fed easy etc

since 3.5 months ive just found him a nightmare. his sleep regression ended but he sometimes still wakes up every 45mins, hes so hard to entertain, i feel like i never have a second to myself and dread everytime he starts waking up from a nap. he never seems content, hes fussy with bottles and is so hard to put down for naps. just seems like one thing after the other :dohh: sleep regression, diorhea, silent reflux, a cold, my back hurts from constantly trying to rock a 18lb baby back to sleep

gahhh i miss my happy newborn

I agree I found it really easy when my LO was a newborn, I dont find it that much harder now shes older, just the constant entertaining, chasing her round and her tantrums that make it harder for me. I that she would sleep so much and would happily lay there smiling when she was a newborn x

i dont agree...
newborn stage was the worst for me.

i love where james is at now at 7.5 months.
however, i hear there is a 8/9 month regression that makes me nervous....

I totally agree, as a newborn she slept all the time, didn't even wake in the bath!! Lol. But now it's tough, still wakes every 1-2 hours at night. I'm hoping it's just a phase but she sure is grumpier now! Love her! Xx

I agree sleep regression was the hardest thing I've ever gone though.

I had that rant on my FB a few weeks ago lol

i agree, it was sooooooo easy, he slept give or take all day, one feed in the night,it was great.

now he will only have 3 30min naps in a day, i really dont get alot done anymore!

well alfie was a nightmare refluxy newborn up until 4 months so that was awful lol but now hes on the move and wanted to be crawling everywere, refuses to sleep etc its very much harder..just wait till your LO's crawling fun fun fun lol

<3

I liked a few things about him being a little baby, like sleeping everywhere we went, and him just being easily mobile, but I would NOT want to go back. I love this stage. 6-9 months has been a dream! He is so much fun, great personality and he sleeps finally. So as much as I miss the baby cuddly stage I have zero desire to go back...

its nice to know im not alone :)
maybe once he gets a little older it'll get easier
just feel like im really stuggling to cope atm :(

i know!!, im not getting anything done, well, the bare minimum, i was told he would start napping for longer, but if anything its going the opposite way,hes dropping some 30 min naps, and sometimes these are only 20mins!.
i thank the lord we have a jumperoo otherwise id never get to go to the loo!

Exactly this for me!

Evan was a hideous newborn - never slept, cried all the time etc but that had nothing on the 4 month regression! Once we got to 6 months he was a brilliant baby and he's amazing now despite ups and downs!

some things are easier and some things are harder but on the whole,i do find it easier now. When LO was newborn,he didnt sleep! 10mins here 5 mins here :dohh: but now because he is so active he has bigger naps, sometimes 3 hours! :happydance:

ergh can totally relate. although my LO only likes it for 5 mins :nope: i normally put him on the floor on his mat to get stuff done or get ready, but now he can roll and within seconds he just screams everytime because hes flipped onto his front :dohh:

and he screams in his carseat and when we go out i have to carry him everywhere, food shopping etc

OP- if it makes you feel better,
when my LO was your LO's age he was a nightmare.
Then when he turned 6 months things magically got better.
he started STTN, taking longer naps, and just being generally happy.
These past 2 months have been the best months IMO.
I think 4-5 months was the hardest part for me, 2nd hardest would be newborn time.

Love the way my son is atm though!

yep! my LO has learnt to roll, so i too cant put him on his mat and get anything done as he too flips over, gets stuck and cries!!:dohh:
i get our food delivered, i have to strap him in his highchair to take delivery lol!

Totally agree. I don't miss the newborn stage at allbecause it gets boring but it was soo much easier! Ivy just slept constantly. If I was to have another baby I would book a long exotic holiday because travelling with a 4 week baby would be a hell of a lot easier than travelling with a hyper, walking toddler!

me me me!!! Up to 5 months he was SOOOOO easy, now he's still a great baby but I find things so much harder!xxx
