It's a boy!!!!!

I tweeted Clarence House about the car seat straps.. You think someone would have told them!

Mind you? I was so overwhelmed leaving hospital that I trapped my hand in the car door, and that's without onlookers

When Eve was born, I had to take her to the Drs at 2 days old for a full check as we had spent less than 24 hours in hospital.

Getting her back in the car to come home, i was so anxious about getting the car seat buckled in properly, that it wasnt until i got home that i realised i hadnt actually strapped her INTO the car seat  :dohh: was a proper guilty mummy moment- luckily we only lived a minute up the road, but i felt terrible,.

Cant imagine how terrible poor William and Kate will feel being scrutinised by the public especially being first time parents.

Absolutely, and we all make mistakes. We're not perfect and neither are they.. They have a few rude awakenings coming to them as they do us all when we become parents for the first time!

They looked as unsure as us all when passing him between each other, they'll be fine :)

To be fair, I reckon they would have had some sort of Palace escort waiting round the corner and would've been going at a very slow speed (that, or they were rushing to get away from the paparazzi before securing the baby properly).

I assumed they had isofix so they didn't have to strap the seat in

Oh you mean the seat straps sorry I thought you were saying about securing him in the car

I just looked at the pics and the baby was strapped into the car seat

the straps were over the blanket.

I forgot to strap River in once, R and W have both rolled off the sofa, eaten something they shouldnt, its got to 10 minutes to nursery picking up time and ive thought "crap River". We all make mistakes, we just dont have the whole world watching for them.

I strapped Rhys into his seat once but forgot to secure the baby seat in the car using the straps

Luckily it was a very short journey

I expect they kept the blanket over the baby as they didn't want too many shots of their child. Kate could well have arranged the baby correctly when safely in the car. People are far too quick to judge! Even if it was a genuine mistake I doubt it will be the last they make as new parents!! Congrats to them, he's such a cutie. Makes me very broody :).

I can only imagine how they felt having to come out of tbose doors to millions of ppl.

Ppl are even saying how kate looked TOO good wtc well ud have had my hair n make up done if i was going to face millions of ppl.

As for the car seat. They prob would have gone 10miles an hr if tht. Police escorts the lot.

Imagine how they r gonna feel when they get told by thousands of ppl tht they didnt even strap their son in properly - shit i imagine!

How do you strap a swaddled baby in a car seat

How do you strap a swaddled baby in a car seat

you shouldnt swaddle a baby into a car seat :/
very dangerous, the same as wearing thick coats etc. u dont do it.

Kate was doing something in the back of car when she got in so maybe she was adjusting straps and things. Poor parents, I echo the fact we have all made mistakes but we get the luxury of not having them filmed or photographed.

I think its confirmed that the straps were fixed before the car left. I agree, I've made mistakes as well and that was hard enough let alone having millions of people (who are all on social media sites) watching, taking pictures and putting them up for everyone else to either sigh, roll their eyes or critique. :(

Horrid.
