Hey girls! Hope your all well! This is yet another stupid thread from me! Lol.

Ever since I left to go on maternity leave (last week lol) literally all I can think about is hurrying this baby along! It's driving me mad - I just want him/her here. I know I seem really selfish as I'm not even 38 weeks yet but I can't help it. I think I wish I was back at work - I had something to do then. Now I wake up hoping my waters have broke, if I go to the loo & do yet another poo I think "oh might not be much longer", I check the loo roll everytime I pee!. Every twinge, cramp, period like pain I think "oh could be any day" It's like I'm obsessed! Lol. Everything is done & in place so it is literally a waiting game. I can only clean the house so many times in one day! Lol. I can't really go out as I'll be drawn into baby shopping which I've got to resist as were trying not to spend money left right & centre. Anyone else feel the same - that there mind is only stretching to one thing at the minute - your baby arriving? If you've got any tips on how to help myself I'd be really grateful!

Thanks
Laura x

I have been on so many sites looking for wats to bring labour on. I wish for things to work but i'm not so sure they do. I've tried sex, curry, walking so far but nothings happened. I spent half an hour this morning walking round my house & up & down the stars lol but then I just thought "is there any point - he/she will only come when their ready!" - just wish it was now! :( lol

I am the same, need to take my mind off it!!

I think I need to plan each day to keep myself occupied.

Today I am relaxing this morning (meaning being on bnb, googling various "symptoms" and labour related things lol), have lunch, collect DS from school (only doing half days this first week), bit of housework, bounce on birthing ball, have tea, bedtime for DS, have a bath and watch TV before bed... yes I need to plan that in depth otherwise I will just sit here all day going cuckoo about things starting :dohh:

This is me... everything you have said above i do!! i have been off for 2 weeks now (today is the start of amy 3rd week off) and i just want little one here!! I did have my sis off last week so that passed some time, going shopping and just popping round for a cuppa but now everyone is back at work and i dont know what to do with myself!!

I hope we dont have much onger to wait!!

xx

Hahahaha!!!This is me!!!Ive been off for 1 week...i really am starting to annoy myself waking up in the night/morning checking for water, knicker checking, every twinge - WOOOHOOOO...turns out to be nothing!!!HURRY UP BABY!!!!!!!!and this mght sound very selfish and vain but as the days go on I get more strechies...if baby comes out they will stop coming!!!!!I mean come on - your baked enough...39 weeks is long enough in the oven!!!!!!!Hope something happens for us soon ladies!x

I don't now how ladies that go overdue do it! Every week that passed while I was at work went really quick. I was counting them down like noones business! Getting to 3 weeks left was such a huge deal! But since then this week seems to have taken forever! I keep telling myself only another 2 weeks! But that sounds sooooo long now! I've done 38 weeks with no issues, now it's the final few it couldn't be any bloody longer!!

Oh i'm really starting to annoy myself doing this .... it's all i think about every second of every day, i dare say that if i did think about somethnig else for a split second then maybe it would just happen!

I am so jealous - still have 5 weeks left at work and I am so tired - anyone want to swap with me? Hope your babies hurry up soon xx

Last 3 weeks are the slowest! I am 37+4 today. I finish work at 39+1 so basically I have enough work at work before I finish but still I am getting impatient and now a bit annoyed thinking what if I go overdue.

I finish work on friday but I'm so worried the last few weeks are going to go sooo slowly. This thread worries me that it will!

If you've still got things to do & take your mind off it you'll be fine. I wanted everything sorted within a good time, now I wish I'd waited so I'd still have things to do now!! Lol x

I feel the exact same way!! This is my first full week off work and I don't know what I'm going to do all week! I'm just 37 weeks today, but this next weeks are going to be tough just waiting on her and analyzing every little feeling :)

Dont want to put a negative spin on things but this is my first baby and I am 9 days over and due for induction tomorrow. The last 9 days have felt longer than the whole 9 months put together!! Symptom spotting goes into overdrive let me tell you!! lol

That is what I'm most anxious about! Going overdue! But at the of the day if it happens it happens. Nothing I can do about it :( hope your induction goes well tomorrow! Look forward to seeing the updates! x

I have been off since week 35 and the waiting is killing me, i check constantly and google any twitch and pain and constantly looking for ways to induce labour but too scared to do most.

oh jesus - the thought of going overdue actually makes me want to start crying.....9 days is a LLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG time...poor you:(Hope all goes well tomo!!Now for the rest of us GET OUT BABIES!!!!x

I felt the exact same way as u, infact i couldnt of put it better myself.
But I would say make the most of it just being u and OH before baby comes
xx

Beg and borrow DVD's and have duvet on the sofa days and grab some comfort food. Then have a day or 2 of doing your nails, soaking in the bath etc. as once bubs is here all that will go out the window as all you will want to do is look at bubs!

I have DS to occupy me this time, but I do remember planning lots of pub lunches with friends, actually had contractions whilst squeezing in my last pub lunch lol

I'm the same every twinge I think ooo could this be it. Constantly checking my knickers for any signs of my waters or more of my plug. I'm driving myself insane. I know I have 3 weeks left to go til my induction but 3 weeks feel like an eternity!

We are all ready for baby too (well our bedroom needs a quick tidy and hoover) so theres nothing really left for me to do apart from twiddle my thumbs lol. x
