IVF/ICSI in Oct/Nov/Dec 2011?

Hi, I'm back in here and will be trying for our 2nd ICSI baby this year end. We now have a 3 month old boy via iCSI after several years of hubby having a reversal and retrieval, and 2 failed ICSI cycles. I have zero frozen embies from all three cycles so I do have to go through the full cycle again.

Hoping to see some ICSI buddies here to go through this journey with

HELLO!!!!! my name is shanna. my DH and I have been trying for like 2 and a half years. he has a low sperm count (8 million slow swimmers ). I don't know a thing about IVF but we have our very frist appt. at walter reed an army hospital in late june to talk about money and to get all of our tests out of the way. what was your IVF like, how much did you spend and...... is it you or your DH? sorry about so many questions, I just don't have anyone to ask this stuff to.

p.s. we hope to have ours done in early OCT!!!!

Hi Shanaynay! Sorry took so long to reply. Well, my FS has his own practise at a private hospital and he charges about £3000 for all visits, scans, consult, egg collection, embryo transfer and all medicines. Full package. He did his fellowship in London for 5 years also.

We have problems With OH as he had a vasectomy more than 20 years ago when he was a young man. So his reversal was not successful and there was low sperm count. I have mild PCOS but FS said it's not an issue.

My ICSI journey took about 3 years in addition to husbands operation. We had 2 failed full cycle ICSI before getting lucky the 3rd time. It's been very tiring because we had ao many other stresses to deal with in life and work.

However, it is worth the persistence and endurance. Age isn't on my side so we're trying for our 2nd baby as soon as our fertility specialist allows, which is after 6 months post delivery.
