Just found out today that my fs only likes to to day 3 transfers.

I was thinking that day 5 is better - but I know many people have success with day 3 and that my fs must have her reasons for this.

What did you go through?
*I will post this in pg section too*

Thanks so much!

Hi I did a 3 day transfer with 2 4 cell embryos. First time this didn't work but then I did a FET - again 3 day transfer (one cell loss on each 4 cell embryo) with 2 embryos.
I am 31 weeks on Saturday with one baby.
Good luck!!

My transfer's not until next week Blue, but I'm doing 1 embie at 3 days.
I think it really varies depending on where you live, but that's pretty much the standard protocol here in Australia.
When is your transfer? Good luck!!:hugs:

fresh cycle i had 2 2 day 4 cell emibes and with FET i had 2 3 day 1 8 cell 1 7 cell

good luck xx

I am scheduled to go in monday for Day 5 transfer with 2 embryos/blastocysts. Good luck!

All of my transfers so far have been from fresh cycles and were grades 1 or 2, 8 or 9 cell, day 3 embies. We're hoping to go to day 5 this next time round.

I had a 5 day transfer hun, only one Embryo transferred....

Wishing you lots of luck xoxox

I'm not sure how to write this but I had a day two transfer with 2 x 4-cell, grade 1 embryos!

Blue places in the UK only tend to do certain day transfers. My clinic only does Day2 or Day5 - I didn't have enough to risk going to day 5 so I would have been a Day2 BUT they couldn't decide which were the best to put back and so I had a day3 transfer with 2 put back. My clinic went on and on about blasto being better if you are that lucky.
The new clinic I am going to puts them back early as they reckon better back in the Mum asap and they have success that way.
I'm torn as to what to do but I hope I have the amount and quality to get a choice this time.
:dust:

I had Day 2 transfer, with 2 embryos - one 4 cell and one 5 cell. I'm now 14 weeks with one baby.

I think my clinic has success rates similar to that of Bath and Oxford, but it only does 2 day transfers.

Good luck!

FROZEN EMBRYO TRANSFER - if you have left over embryo's after ivf/icsi - they are frozen and then can be defrosted and transfered.

I think once you know how many eggs you have and then how many fertilise will give u a better idea of how succesful it is likely to be. If they only do a 3 day transfer but u have lots of good quality embies it shouldnt matter. We only had one transferred as we were told that with blasto we had a 55% chance of having twins!! I was a bit disappointed at first, but now being pregnant with one only I am EXTREMELY glad lolololol!!!
