just a little tiny rant

just need to vent my annoyance at the LAX airport security, just for a moment...

im currently on my way home from visiting my wonderful man, ive done it 12+ times in two years without a hitch, i musnt look very threatening because security has always left me alone...until this time...

through the scanner i go and the guard asks me to stand aside and calls for a female inspector...

she comes and takes me to a cubicle and starts feeling my bump to check that its real!!!
i was so annoyed! im fat and sad because im leaving my partner, tired and about to endure a 14 1/2 hour flight and to top it off i need my privacy invaded?

sorry, i was just a little irritated...i know security needs to be strict...i just wasnt expecting that i guess...

TSA really does try there best, A friend of mine works for homeland security. Consider yourself lucky that you have only been stopped once in 12 round trip flights!! I hope you feel better!

LAX is AWFUL...the security personnel there treat every passenger like a criminal. Sorry you had to go through that, lady!

When we went on our Honeymoon I had to go through extra security, a pat down and they took everything out of my bags and tested it for explosives, WHY? Because we purchased my ticked using my married name (since that's what my name would be then right? ) But my drivers license still used my maiden name.

The USA is just on High Security with it being September and all. After 9/11 they feel the need to be on high alert.

my absolute fave airline is air new zealand! i love to fly through Auckland airport as its just like Adelaide's, all small and friendly

i totally get that security is there to keep us safe and i appreciate that

i just dont think it means a total lack of respect, politeness or decency cant be in place also...
they werent pulling any of the obese aside and jabbing their stomachs....

anywho, home now and despite my annoyance my babe lives in LA so ill be back LOL!

When I was flying out of LAX in April they were doing the body frisks/hand scanner things. I got lucky and they opened up the normal detectors right at my turn, but they made me take my flip flops out of the tray and put directly on the conveyor belt and it ATE one of my sandals!!! I was completely pissed as they kept telling me to get out of the area and that someone must have taken it as they claimed it wasn't in there but there's no way I was completing my trip without a shoe on. Took them 15 min to find it in there.
