and how much did you actually pay towards it? This isnt including the room construction itself like if you repainted..carpeted..etc..but actual physical items like furniture...clothes..food stuffs...toys...gear..etc...

We have over $1000 worth of baby stuff sitting in our house...and we have literally only paid about $250 of that....we had people give us stuff..people sell us stuff for super super cheap..and we have had 4 baby showers!! lol..Im just so proud of us and especially of me for finding tons of great deals and knowing we have saved well over $800!:happydance::happydance:

i reckon so far we have done 1k then we will pay for the nursery furniture which is 1100 and last minute bits another 500 .... its amazing how things can quickly add up xxx

We havent been given anything, but we have managed to budget everything for baby inc. clothes, nappies, travel system, baby furniture and room decoration, new radiator...etc... for about £600 which im pleased about :) we got clothes for the first 6 months :)

I really dread to think how much everything has come to!

I'm not even going to think about it! We have two of most things, 16 bottles and clothing for both genders! My poor hubby has had plenty of credit card shocks lately ;)

We have about $1600 worth of stuff; about $900 we've spent ourselves. Still have to get the pump and high chair, though.

With my first pregnancy i must have had well over 1k worth of stuff and probably payed half that as we waited for deals, stuff was brought for us, given from family etc.

This pregnancy i have spent over £300 and got a lot for it. still need to get a cot but until hes 4 months there is no space at my mums got to find a place first. we got a £300 pram and 2 huge bags of gorgeous boys clothes up to 9 months and little shoes for £100 all amazing condition from a good family friends, mothers been going mad buying and we hit car boots for clothes and got amazing stuff cheap but washing cost was WOW. so id say we have almost 1k of stuff now too.

We've not spent too much, have bought everything when its been on offer or using vouchers/coupons. Got a few 2nd hand bits and been given a few bits too. I'd say about 600 too and bearing in mind the pram was 300 that's not too much else!x

We probably have about $2000 between everything from the crib to the clothes. But we didn't pay anywhere near that amount since have bought everything on sale, coupon, or major clearance. Haven't paid full price for an item yet.

it is crazy how it all adds up...we got so lucky with the deals we got and having the 4 showers lol lol..really made a huge difference...and most of the gear and stuff we got is unisex so it will be used again for #2 in a few years which was also really important to me

Probably have around £1000 worth of stuff if it was all to be bought new and at full price. I think we've spent about £500-£600 in total and have been given lots from family.

we've been lucky as well as you have! we have a couple thousand dollars worth of stuff and the only thing i've paid for is the bedding which was $120 for all of it and the mattress for the crib which was like $20. I've bought a couple outfits but had two baby showers which is where i got enough clothes that she'll never wear the same thing twice, the travel system, high chair, bouncy chair, swing, bottles, pacifiers, bibs, and everything else you could possibly imagine. my mom is buying us a play yard still and my step dad bought the furniture for her room. im so blessed to have the family and friends that we have that were willing to get us everything we could need and more! We also got lucky because OH's sister had a baby girl in august and ours is due november so we'll be getting some hand me downs as well!

About $2k easily. But about $600 is from gift cards. And I haven't bought much diapers or clothes. Just pump, travel system, bullet, video monitor etc..etc.. We received a ton of gift cards (about $800) but not many gifts.

I just talking to my husband about how much money goes into having a baby. It is like he is born and you need provide a WHOLE new world of stuff for him/her. We have been lucky... our parents brought us all the big stuff (crib, mattress, glider w/ottoman, stroller, car seat, dresser and changing table) My three baby showers took care of the rest. As for as my husband and I go all we buy is clothes and thats just because we cant help it not because he needs anymore. I cant even imagine having to do it alone.

We've probably spent about £300.00. That's gone on a double buggy, cot mattress, cot, some nappies, (we've been given loads) wipes, baby bath seat and then fitted sheets. I have shopped around again to see where the best bargains where.

We're lucky though as we've still got everything from having my dd and we bought everything we could unisex as we didn't want to have to replace things when we had another baby.
