I'm no way gonna be able to feed ds on this boob now - and knowing burns they hurt for days!

I'm now concerned that he's not gonna have enough milk now if he's just feeding off one side?

Any advice?

owww , you might find hes feeding alot longer each feed but your supply will catch up, the best thing for the burn is to put some breastmilk on it hun and let it air dry

Ouch! This actually made me screw up my toes in sympathy!

I put Sudocrem on burns, but I agree that breastmilk will help too. Hope it heals soon!!

ouch that has gotta hurt! Lansinoh may help also-I got burnt on my arm and lansinoh did the trick (the special burns cream I got from a health food shop did absolutely nada) xx

I would be reluctant to put any cream on it. The cream will create a seal and the burn will only heal if the heat can escape. If it can't escape, it will continue to burn and do damage on the inside.

^ WSS. When I burnt my hands REALLY badly as a teenager (was holding a teapot full of water designed for about 50 cups of tea!!) my dad used camomnile lotion on them after keeping them under cold running water til they turned blue I never even got a blister and by the morning there was no sign of a burn.

Bugger me!! That's gotta hurt so bad I stepped into my ghd barefoot once and got blistered toes, I can't begin to imagine how sore your nipple is!! See if your Gp will give you a prescription for flamazine seeing as it will effect your feeding. Flamazine is mega expensive and is for serious burns but it is legendary stuff an great to have a tube in the house good luck x

Thanks for your replies, I managed to express some last night so I'm going to do that and see doctor tomorrow as my nipple has gone a weird purply/white color

Its still throbbing and hurts so bad I had to put ice on it

Thank you! I was straightening my hair and had just a dressing gown on that was open, and I was in a rush and just dropped them

Aloe Vera gel is very good for burns, it has a cooling effect as well
