Besides the furniture and pram etc what is the average cost of a baby in their first year? Monthly average?

When i am eventually blessed with a child i am hoping to breast feed but may formula feed along side it.
I imagine there have been alot of threads with the information on but i cant find any sorry.

Any ideas?

It's hard to say, obviously they need new clothes every 3 months, nappies cost us about £30 a month,wipes about £7, you tend to buy a few toys and bits every month, I think it really varies month to month, when you start wearing you buy spoons bowls book blender. Thinking about it the basics don't cost that much x
