...aw im so excited but so nervous at the same time eeeekkkk:haha:

any tips or advice on where you found it best to find heartbeat??

aw i so want to go try it now but nervous  lol

I just found mine!! I'm 10+6 today. Well, actually DH found it coz my fat belly was getting in the way. I lay on the floor and he found it close to my bikini line just to the right off centre. All i managed to find was the placenta lol.

Good luck!

aww congrats hunni!!! xxx Watch out for your hb! I found mine and thought it was bubbas!! :haha: best advice i can give is start right down by your girly bits just above your pubic bone and angle the doppler in different ways :) which doppler did you get? xx

i got the bt200(hi-bebe)...its only a rental but it claims you can pick heart beat up at 10weeks (i know im just shy of 10weeks so not hopping for miracles) but i heard so many positive responses that girls have found at 8weeks etc so i got my fingers crossed lol

thats the one i have!!! its very good! very clear sounds!!! listen out for the placenta whooshing sea kinda noise then the baby's hb won't be far xxx

when are you planning on testing it out? x

I can usually find mine straight down from belly button, just above pubic bone. Keep angling it in different ways! Dont get it confused with your own like I first did lol. It can also take quite a while so just be patient, The first time I heard mine it took about half an hour that was at 10 + 3 the second time was just over 11 weeks and found that after 2 minutes. GOOD LUCK! :flower:

I put this on another post yesterday. I went to the midwife yesterday and she used a Doppler but couldnt find the heartbeat. After five tense minutes of her trying and her saying " oh it might be hiding behind the fibroid I have "
I was bricking it. The other midwife asked me to have a wee and when I came back she had a go. She found it stright away. I had tears in my eyes cos I was so relieved. They were so laid back about it though. ( God this is my life they are casual about) She said to remember at this stage the baby is only about an inch big so could be anywhere. A full bladder can deflect the sound. Also any cysts , fiboids etc can hide it too. So try not to worry if it cant be found straight away.

They did however give me a word of warning. One of the mums hadnt felt her baby move so used the Doppler and found a heartbeat, next day same again. The day after she couldnt find a heartbeat at all, so called this midwife. The baby had died, seems she was lulled into a fasle sense of security by jsut hearing the heartbeat and no movement. Had she mentioned to the midwife the baby was not moving they may have been able to save it by sending her for a scan to check. Poor girl.

I have the same doppler and i couldnt find my sons until 13-14 weeks :(

Anyway

Try really low down just above your pubic hair line
See if you can ask someone do it for you as i can never find it by using the doppler myself
Try a full bladder it can help
and try use loads of gel i find it so much easier

good luck xx

I found mine just after 9 weeks. Although at first I could only find it in the evenings and not during the day/morning, and my friend said the same. Since I have only been using it at night as it was getting me in such a state.
I found mine pretty much straight down from my belly button but maybe just a little bit to the right.
Please dont panic if you cant find it one evening though. I got myself in such a panic the other day as I was trying at the same time as usual and just couldnt find it. I was trying on and off for a couple of hours and oculdnt find anything. I was in such a state and was really worried. Luckily I did finally find it and it was lovely and strong.
As others have said, bubba is still so small and has such a big area to move around in. It has to be in exactly the right place to be able to hear it. Also when i find it bubba is usually being hyperactive and moving alot so can only hear for a few seconds at a time before I loose it again.

Good luck xxx

had a go :) thought i heard it for all of 2 seconds the first time i tried but i couldnt find it after i moved slightly...tried again with a full bladder and found it after about 5 mins was strong all i could think was it sounded like a train, id move it away and move it back to same spot and it was only in that one spot i heard it so that must of been it. tried again a lil while later in the same area for MIL to hear, i managed to find it but it didnt sound as strong although my bladder was as full.

must of been lucky to find it straight away lol...MIL was like yep thats what it sounds like lol x x x
