So I went for a sweep today and the midwife said my cervix was soft and squishy, she could get 2 fingers deep inside my cervix and could feel the baby's head. She said my cervix was reallu far forward, that it was a really good sweep and it had a good chance of working.

In my notes, she's wrote:
"Sweep performed with consent, cx-central, mid position, p.p well applied, admits 2 fingers, partially effected"

Anybody know what any of that actually meens cause I don't have a clue?

Great news!

Cx central - usually your cervix will be posterior (towards the back), and becomes anterior (frontal) prior to or during labour
Admitting two fingers means that you're about 2-3cm dilated
Partially effaced - how thin your cervix is

Sounds very positive! X
