last night lo went to bed as usual at 5.30. But he woke up at 9.00pm and would not settle. I was in witj him trying to bf him back to sleep untill about 1.20 when I finally gave up and brought him into our bed. We offered him a drink, a cracker some teething powder but nothing worked. He just lay there looking sleepy one minute and was jumping on me, jumping on his bed, throwing his duvet and pillows around his room the next. It got to a point where I was snapping and both oh and lo and then burst out crying. I just couldnt figure out what I was doing.
oh said when he last looked over at lo and checked the time it was about 2.30 and he was aseep. Lo then woke up at 8.30 am. which obviously meant we were up.
He wont eat, all he has had all day is water, juice, bm, cows milk and a banana. he is clearly exhausted but will not nap. Poor kids got a runny nose and seems so frustrated. And he wont leave my side.Im getting his dinner on now. So he should be in bed by 5.30 as usual, but I know he will have a rubbish night again and oh is at work till 10.
Oh and to make matters worse, oh decided to tell me not long before he left for work that wr used the last calpol plug in refill last night. Which means I cant get anymore untill tomorrow when he is home. I know its not his fault but I wish he would have told me when we had like 2 left so I could pick up more.

Im sorry this is so long. Just needed to get it out before I loose my mind. Strangely im not tired but my body is acheing and I feel so drained.
Thank you for reading.

Hi hon, it sounds like he's coming down with something. Don't worry about him not eating, if he's feeling rubbish he won't feel like it. As long as he stays hydrated, just give him cuddles when he needs it, even if that's the middle of the night. I know it's hard when you are exhausted but if he usually sleeps well there's probably a reason he just wants his Mummy in the middle of the night. x

Never fun for us (or LO) when they are off! My LO had a fever and bit of a runny nose for 3 days straight- and all she wanted to do was be held and snuggle. Wouldn't eat or drink much of anything- then she woke up with NO fever and no runny nose and I thought, great our LO is back! But noooooooooooooo- she has been such a pill the past 2 days. She is fussy and get's upset at everything. I got home from work yesterday all excited to see her- and she just fussed and either cried or moaned most of the night till bed. Thankfully she went down easy and sleep 13hrs! ack. But still- I was put on edge due to her whining. She is not usually like that at all- she is such a happy go lucky kiddo!!! I miss that. LOL. I know she'll get better though- this too shall pass... as the saying goes.

They just can't always tell us what is wrong- so it's a guessing game- and not one we usually win at! Least not before we are run raggid. Hope your LO is better soon and you both get some much needed R&R. :hugs:
