As titled..

I want to know if there are any different groups. Besides the Mother & Baby groups at the local clubs, swimming etc?

Also what's involved/ what do you do/ how long do they last/ do you pay etc.. with the groups you go to?

We go to rhyme time at the library, thats open to anyone, free.. you get nursery rhymes and instruments, its about half hour.. every library (certainly around here) does it. I'm also starting a signing and music class which is paid for, it involves massage, singing songs with signs and stuff, not exactly sure cos i dont go till tomorrow but its www.beststartclub.co.uk if you want an idea. www.netmums.co.uk lists all the local groups in your area x

Rhyme Time we have at work with the pre-schooler for half and hour sessions few times a week :D

we go to a baby group on wednesdays from 12:15-1pm and we pay $60/month.
basically its a time to interact with other babies, sing, explore new things, play with different toys, etc...

and we also do swimming lessons on tuesdays from 6-630pm. we also pay $60/month for those :)

we go to a stay and play with sure start, we also go to a baby massage and yoga group which is paid for at Mocha Mamas.xxx

We go swimming sometimes or Matt takes her swimming on his own at the Dad's and Baby swimclub.

We go to Saturday morning swimming lessons and we both go in the pool together. I would do more but the closest English play group is a 40 minute drive one way!

We do Baby Swimming on a Monday from 9-10am which is £3.10. Tomorrow I think we are also going to an "Active Play" session from 1.30-2.30pm, think it's £1.80. There's also a Healthy Tots group from 10am-11.30am on a Monday and a music group at the local nursery from 9.30am - 10am but I prefer the swimming so don't go to these.

Tuesday we have Young Mum's group from 1.30pm-2.30pm which is free.

Wednesday there is a Baby Play Group from 9.30am - 11am but I don't go to this as LO like to have her nap at 10am. There's also Baby Massage from 12pm-1pm but it's only really for younger babies not my LO's age.

I'm sure there's more on Thursdays and Fridays but we usually visit my Mum on a Thursday and on Friday we have lazy day! xx

Monday- swimming £12 for 30 mins
Tues- sometimes weigh in clinic at health centre then on to rhyme time at library mid morning free
Weds- either baby group at a local church hall in the morning or one at a surestart centre in the afternoon, both free and on for about 2hours
Thurs/ fri- nothing just walk round town, other mums coffee mornings, stroll round the park/netmums meet ups etc

We've done baby massage-5 week course at surestart free, tried baby yoga £7 a session.

We do many trips to the park. LO loves the swing:thumbup:

We also go to a music class for 8mth to 16mth olds at Gymboree. As i am a member of Gymboree i can go the Soft play sessions which are everyday. I do that twice a week.

We also go to our local charity run mini farm to look at all the animals and have some lunch. The Alpacas make her laugh. But then they are quite funny looking!

We also do Messy Mayhem at our local sure start centre every week. We she gets messy with paints, flour, etc:thumbup:

music and rhyme which is free, messy play which is free and sea-horses at the local swimming pool (like music and rhyme except in the water) which is £2.xx

ETA: all at our local sure-start centre which is amazing and I love it.
