Today I was looking through our union manual, actually, to find out the procedure for vacation time...how to request etc. I decided to look up the pay rate for my job (it's a new position for me...been there just two weeks now). Anyways, when I was hired, they said it was pay rate 7, but it is actually listed in the union manual as pay rate 8. That is a dollar difference. Of course, I am doing the math in my head about the difference that is...I mean, a dollar an hour, 7 hours a day, 5 days a week...that is already 35 dollars a week. 35 a week time 52 weeks in a year...we are looking at $1820 a year...I am losing!!!! So...now it is totally bothering me...and I keep wondering, did they eff it up when they hired me, or what...they just can't change my wage that the union has agreed to??? Can they??? So....do I say something
