Hi peeps
Life has never been easy for us regarding milk with reflux, eternal constipation and gastroenteritis. When she was in hospital with gastro flu they recommended LF milk and i must say that it really helped.

I put her back on it when she had VERY bad diarrhoea recently. Once again it did the trick in just two feeds.

The problem is that i have tried three times to go back onto her Hipp Follow on and each time, she gets the squits again.

Secondly, i recently tried her with cows milk in her cereal and the two times she got a blotchy face which stayed for a few hrs.

I went to the GP-he said just to keep her on the LF milk and she will grow out of it:shrug: He was not much help.

Will it be okay to keep her on this milk?

Have we had all these problems because she is intolerant to lactose?

Anyone with any info?

We are aiming to wean off SMA LF by 12 months but we've been gradually giving low lactose foods since we starting weaning without any problems. Would you be able to get a referral to a dietician? I went through our HV.
We were told to gradually challenge her with small amounts of lactose at a time and gauge her reaction, I think milk was fairly high on the list, things like fromage frais and cream cheese were pretty low, as well as hard cheddar cheese.

I always use LF when Omar has an upset tummy, he's also suffering from reflux. When he starts to throw up again or gets loose poo, we use LF instead of cow milk. I use the adults one but when he was a baby & he suffered from a tummy but we used LF formula for 10 days & it really helped.
