Hi, ive knitted my own wool longies and just have to sew them up but where do I get the stuff to lanolize them from and is it just called lanolizing as ive typed this into ebay but cant seem to find anything, thanks

I got mine from Little Pants, and followed the instructions/advice on her page as to how to do it! :D

Hi I looked at little pants but has sold out, thanks for the links.

Not sold out! In fact I've just had a new delivery! Will check the shop, and see what the problem is!

OK.Sorted! For some reason the quantities didn't sync when I added the new stock, but it's sorted now!

Oo thanks LittlePants, I shall be ordering some from you later!! I'm in the process of knitting my second set of longies (slow going with a clingy teething baby!) so I shall need the lanolizing stuff soon!
I have to admit, I'm a bit nervous about using the longies as I just cant see how she'll be dry in the morning! But I'm willing to give them a go... after all, I've forked out for the organic wool and spent the time making the longies now :haha:

Thnaks, Im going to order some today, it says 15ml and 50ml, how much will I need? Thanks

Well you only use a tiny bit each time, so really, unless you are lanolizing for England, a 15ml pot will last quite a while. Use 1/4 tsp for longies, if you use the method shown on my site. You only heed to mix enough solution to just cover whatever it is you're doing, and if you use something like an ice cream tub, you really only need very little to do that. You can fold the item as well - as long as it's covered it will soak it up.

It really does work! As long as you have enough nappy underneath anyway!
