Don't be scared! I had one in October, was terrified as I'd never had a general anaesthetic before, but it was absolutely fine, had lots of endometriosis lasered off, one of my tubes straightened out, and I am now very cautiously 6 weeks pg on 2nd month of trying after the op.
Had no pain or anything after the operation, only a big bruise around my belly button but just rested for a couple of days and was fine.
Well worth having it as you feel like everything has been well and truly checked out 'in there'.
